Former President Donald Trump is the most physically repulsive politician in American history, he makes the homely Abraham Lincoln look like Brad Pitt.

A Hollywood special effects artist couldn’t create a more loathsome and hideous monster. If I saw Trump with his double chin, racoon eyes, sphincter-shaped mouth and urine colored hair walking toward me, I would make the sign of the cross and run away.

Based on his grotesque physical appearance alone, I wouldn’t feel compelled to show the twice-impeached former president any sign of respect.

When you couple his ugly physical appearance with his moral depravity, Trump would be the last person on Earth I would ever treat with respect or deference.

Then when you consider the fact that Trump demands loyalty but doesn’t reciprocate, and treats everyone like crap, you would have to question the sanity of anyone who praises Trump.

Yet there’s legions of Republicans whom Trump has mocked, taunted and dehumanized who now treat him like the Second Coming of Christ. Take Ted Cruz for example, during the 2016 presidential campaign Trump insinuated that his wife was ugly and accused his father of being involved in the conspiracy to assassinate JFK. Now Cruz never misses an opportunity to debase himself in service to Trump.

The latest example is congresswoman Nancy Mace who filmed a video praising Trump outside Trump Tower one day after the former president endorsed her opponent and called her “an absolutely terrible candidate.”

The steaming pile of human shit Trump isn’t an aberration, he is representative of the typical servile Republican politician who will do anything to win an election.

Outrage: Students Forced to Attend Religious Revival at a Public School

“Students at a West Virginia high school staged a walkout Wednesday morning after some students were reportedly forced to go to a religious revival event at school.

The walkout came after the event, which was organized and led by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, invited Nik Walker Ministries to speak. A district spokesperson said the event was meant to be voluntary, but two teachers “made a mistake and took the entire class to the assembly.”

The spokesperson said the teachers have been ‘corrected,’ and the district doesn’t expect it to happen again.”

Evangelical Christianity has thoroughly corrupted the political process, evangelical Republican congressional leaders are the leading insurrectionists and they pose an existential threat to our democracy.

We must now allow evangelicals to make any inroads into our public schools, and it’s an affront to the sacred principle of separation of church and state that students were forced to attend a religious revival at school.

The religious event was held during a free-time period, how sad that during a free time when students should be relaxing and unwinding, they were instead indoctrinated to a hateful religion.

According to the Associated Press the students were asked to “give their lives over to Jesus to find purpose and salvation.” Those who did not follow the Bible would go to hell when they died, they were told.

The teachers who “made a mistake and took the entire class to the religious revival” and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes should be sued.

I applaud the students who staged a walkout, their courage should embolden us to fight back against evangelicals wherever we encounter them, whether it’s in the educational or political realms.

Pastor Alph Lukau is relatively unknown in the American evangelical community, but the South African pastor and televangelist has millions of followers in Africa and Europe.

Over a million of his followers in Africa and Europe have joined his fast, this may prove his popularity but this publicity stunt has no religious or theological significance.

I would argue that a million souls participating in circle jerks would have a more positive impact on the world. After participating in a circle jerk a person is energized and refreshed and ready to save the world, while after a month-long fast a person is too depleted and weak to do anything more strenuous that lifting a spoon of soup to his mouth.

A 40-day fast is a physically and spiritually dubious endeavor, and it’s the epitome of self-indulgence. South Africa is a cesspool of poverty, crime and disease, a self-aware third-world Christian leader would undertake a 40-day campaign to feed, clothe and shelter the poor instead of a ridiculous and pointless fast.

When I See Joe Biden Wearing a Mask on Empty White House Lawn or Deserted Beach I Feel Like Ripping It Off His Face

I applaud President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden for setting a good example for the American public, by masking up, getting vaccinated and boosted, and practicing social distancing.

It’s quite a contrast from the previous administration, in which former president Donald Trump never donned a mask and the White House was a corona hot spot.

The Bidens are modeling good behavior by wearing a mask, but putting on a mask as they crossed the White House lawn after disembarking from Marine One is modeling idiotic behavior.

To put on a mask under these circumstances, especially considering that the lawn was deserted except for a handful of Secret Service agents, is signal is virtue signaling at best and a sign of dementia at worst.

This insane episode comes just a couple of months after the Bidens were pictured wearing face coverings on a deserted Delaware beach while walking their new puppy. I’m surprised they didn’t put a mask on the puppy.

Enough with the bullshit! The CDC updated its guidance in December to say that Americans who are fully vaccinated can safely go maskless indoors or outdoors, with the exception of crowded indoor settings.

The Bidens should follow the damn science! I am fully vaccinated and boosted, practice social distancing and wear a mask when appropriated, but when I see Biden wearing a mask when walking on the White House lawn or a deserted beach, I fell like ripping it off from his face.

It didn’t quite reach the level of CNN chief legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin masturbating while on a Zoom call with colleagues from the New Yorker, but showing off your damn baby while on the clock and in front of thousands of viewers is almost as indulgent as pleasuring yourself in public view.

White Evangelicals Are Listening to Trump Over the Bible

Thomas Jefferson made his own version of the Bible that removed all of its miracles, but evangelicals take pride in believing all of the miracles of the Bible.

Evangelicals believe that the Bible is the inerrant and infallible Word of God. That means that by faith (suspension of disbelief) they accept as Gospel all of these Biblical miracles that defy physics and common sense:

A donkey chastises the prophet Balaam for whipping him. I wish the Almighty would grant all of his creatures the ability to speak, the way we mistreat animals is an abomination.

Moses made a snake out of bronze and attached it to a pole. Then anyone who was bitten by a snake could look at the bronze snake and be healed!

After Jesus’ resurrection many men and women were raised from the dead. That’s an excellent premise for a horror zombie flick that would scare the Bejesus out of believers and unbelievers alike.

The Earth stopped spinning for a day so that the ancient Israelites could do what they did best, engage in genocide.

The default theological mode of evangelicals is: The Bible says it, I believe it, and that settles it.

But today’s white evangelicals put more stock in the words and wisdom of Donald Trump and the platform of the Republican Party than they do in the teachings of the Bible.

They eschew the teaching of Jesus Christ to “turn the other cheek” and instead adopt Trump’s example of getting even with your enemies by any means possible.

Because they believe in the supernatural miracles of the Bible, they’re conditioned to believe in QAnon conspiracy theories: there’s a cabal of Satan-worshipping pedophiles who secretly control the government, the covid-19 vaccination is the sign of the Antichrist, Trump won the 2020 presidential election in a landslide …

Summary: Evangelicals are a sorry lot who don’t use their brains or their hearts to correctly interpret the Bible, so it should come as no surprise that they fell for the vain babbling of a 3rd rate con man who miraculously became president of the United States.

Joe Manchin: ‘Build Back Better is Dead’ He’s Dead Right!

Joe Manchin, eschewing the nuance and diplomacy of a seasoned politician, declared Joe Biden’s Build Back Better legislation dead, and indeed even Jesus Christ himself can’t resurrect the huge bill.

Joe Biden simply doesn’t have FDR’s gravitas to ram through his New Deal type legislation through Congress, nor does he possess LBJ’s intimidation factor to cajole Democrats to pass his signature bill.

Joe Biden and progressive Democrats risked everything in the belief that at the end they could persuade Joe Manchin and Krysten Sinema to vote in favor of Build Back Better and the voting rights bills.

Manchin and Sinema have proven time after time again, that they will stand their ground. Biden should have understood that these two implacable moderate senators are an integral part of the Democratic Party, and he shouldn’t have promised his base more than he could deliver.

The end result is that both progressive and moderate Democrats are disillusioned and dismayed at Biden’s ineptitude.

Biden’s failure to move his domestic agenda will result in a shellacking of Biblical proportions in the mid term election.

‘Death by Suicide’ or ‘Committed Suicide’?

As a result of the stressors and social strains related to the coronavirus pandemic, depression and suicidal ideation are prevalent in our society and we must be conscious of our mental health and that of our loved ones.

When a celebrity of a famous person commits suicide, we should use it as a teaching moment. Everyone, even the famous and wealthy, is vulnerable to depression and feelings of inadequacy and hopelessness.

Language is important, and I’ve noticed a recent tendency of the media to use the phrase “death by suicide” instead of “committed suicide” or “killed himself/herself.”

I hate political correctness in all its forms, why must reporters whitewash reality. Suicide isn’t something that happens to a hapless individual, like being struck by lightning or being hit by a car. It’s misleading and disingenuous to say that someone died by suicide, tell it like it is: they committed suicide.

The phrase “committed suicide” is eschewed by polite society because of its religious connotation, akin to saying “committed adultery” or “committed murder.”

If you have a problem with the verbiage “committed suicide” because people might think you are implying that the deceased committed a sin, then simply say: he killed himself.

Granted, thinking is often impaired when a person decides to take his life, but it’s still a choice, a manifestation of a free will.

Saying “he committed suicide” doesn’t mean that you are lacking compassion and empathy, and it’s not casting judgment on the deceased, it’s simply describing reality in a real way.

Donald Trump Hints He Will Run for President in 2024 While Golfing in Florida

Donald Trump hinted he will run for president again while golfing in Florida.

In a video taken by one of his entourage and posted on social media, Trump was introduced by one of his flunkies with the commentary: First tee, the 45th President of the United States.

Trump, wearing a red “Make America Great Again” hat adorned with a 45-logo responded: 45th and 47th! A none too subtle hint that he is seriously considering running again, or at least that’s the impression he wants to leave with his supporters and critics.

If a more serious politician wanted to convey the impression that he was considering a presidential run, he would have posted a video on social media depicted him reading a newspaper or reading a book with a member of his team commenting: Is this the 47th President of the United States?

Of course, Trump is neither a serious nor a well-qualified presidential candidate, and he dropped the hint while golfing, something he did frequently during his term.

When Trump golfed as president, he left the impression that he was lazy and didn’t take his job seriously, but it was even worse when he played at being president and royally screwed everything.

For the sake of our democracy, let’s hope Trump spends the rest of his miserable life on the golf course, and never sets foot in the White House again.

The Depravity of Evangelicals Has Turned Protestants, Catholics & Adherents of Other Faiths Away from Religion

The hostile takeover of Protestant Christianity in America by the Religious Right is now complete, to the point where the evangelical movement is synonymous with Trump’s GOP.

Evangelicals like Jerry Falwell Sr. and Pat Robertson were John the Baptist, preparing their cult-like followers for the new messiah, Donald Trump. The Reality TV personality embodies and encapsulates the essence of the 21st Christian: a mercenary for Christ determined to remake our democracy as a Christian theocracy, by any means necessary.

Donald Trump lost in an electoral college and popular vote landslide to Joe Biden in a free and fair election, no problem.  Just claim, that the Lord’s anointed was the legitimate winner, and that the Almighty will restore him to his throne, by it by miliary coup, or legal shenanigans.

The depravity of white evangelicals has turned not just Protestants, but Catholics and adherents of other faiths away from religion. The skyrocketing number of Americans dissatisfied with religion is in large part a backlash against the Religious Right.

I feel at home with atheists, agnostics and even members of the Church of Satan more than I do with the evangelicals I used to bread with a long time ago.

Congratulations white evangelicals, you have driven a nail into Christianity.

White evangelicals have switched their allegiance from the kind and gentle Jesus of the Gospels to the vicious and vengeful Donald Trump of the tabloids and reality TV.

Followers tend to adopt the verbiage and behavior of their guru, and it’s no surprise evangelicals are as profane in their language and behavior as their orange messiah.

Evangelicals are for Trumpism, but they are better known for what they are against:

Gays, lesbians and trans men and women.

Believers who question the inerrancy of the Bible, and the relevancy of some of its centuries-old dogma for the present age.

Women who seek equality in the church and in the home.

Immigrants.

Climate Change.

Science.

People of color.

Evangelical Pastor Greg Locke Blasts Donald Trump for Vaccine Support

Pastor Greg Locke, the Founder and Lead Pastor of Global Vision Bible Church in Tennessee, is the quintessential Trump-supporting evangelical minister. The two basic tenets of his church are the exaltation and glorification of Donald Trump and spreading COVID-19 conspiracy theories.

Locke’s theology is distorted and perverted because he spends more time inside Trump’s rectum than he does reading the Bible. He will unceremoniously excommunicate any parishioner who speaks ill of his orange messiah or who advocates in favor of vaccines or wearing a mask.

Criticizing Trump was the unforgivable sin as far as Locke was concerned until his hero publicly and repeatedly spoke in favor of vaccines.

Locke told members of his church that he is “sick” of the former president promoting vaccines. “He was lied to and he knows it. And his arrogance won’t let him change his mind. I’m telling you right now, on the authority of the Bible, if Donald Trump does not get out in front of this vaccine nonsense, he is going to lose his voter base in the next coming election,” Locke said during a recent sermon.

Locke isn’t the only prominent Trump supporter who has broken with him over his advocacy of vaccines, Alex Jones called him an idiot for pushing vaccines.

The scales have been removed from their eyes, and now these former Trump cultists realize that he’s arrogant and stupid. No kidding, he’s also racist, misogynist, homophobic, ignorant, vindicative and a steaming pile of human shit.

Trump’s promotion of vaccines will result in the exodus of some of his followers from his cult. I wish they would leave him because he’s a racist idiot and not because he’s promoting vaccines, but thank goodness he’s losing some of his devotees.  

Only a Schizophrenic, Charlatan or Narcissist Says ‘God Told Me’

It’s impossible to prove the existence of God, likewise it’s impossible to prove that He doesn’t exist.

Theists, and especially evangelical Christians, rely on tautological or circular reasoning. They will engage in lengthy rhetorical flights, but their argument boils down to:

The Bible is the Word of God and the Bible says there is a God, how can a mere mortal disagree with God? I believe there’s a God because the Bible is the Word of God.

Gravity is the invisible force that keeps us on the surface of the Earth, and the Earth in orbit around the Sun. From Galileo to the present day the reality of gravity has been conclusively proven by scientific means. Even an idiot will realize that gravity is real when a pine cone falls off a tree and hits him on the head.

God is also an invisible force, unfortunately there is no way to prove His existence by scientific means or by rhetorical flourish. When a Christian says “I know that God is real because he changed my life”, we must adopt the attitude that he is entitled to his belief, regardless if it’s based on emotion and not on logic.

When Christians declares that they talk to the Almighty, we must respect their faith without being condescending.

However, my patience runs out when they insist that God talks back to them. Whenever a believer exclaims, “God told me…”, I instantly turn a deaf ear.

Of course, God doesn’t talk to anyone, and whenever anyone prefaces their remarks by uttering, “God told me” they are just trying to give more weight to their words by ascribing them to God.

When you hear anyone, whether he/she is a minister or the slob sitting next to you at the bar, say “God told me”, you have every right to tell them: Shut the fuck up.

Most mass shootings in recent years were staged hoaxes.

COVID-19 was created in a lab in China.

QAnon cultists live in Crazy Town, and the Mayor/Messiah of Crazy Town is the looniest bastard of them all, Donald Trump. Craziness is the coin of the realm in Crazy Town, and the residents have never been introduced to a conspiracy theory that’s too bonkers.

Some QAnon members believe John F. Kennedy is alive and well and impersonating Donald Trump at MAGA rallies. If JFK was miraculously still alive, he wouldn’t be doing a gig as a body double for Trump, he’d be trying to get into Melania Trump’s pants.

QAnon believers are infatuated with the Kennedys, they also believe JFK and his son John F. Kennedy Jr will rise from the dead to help Trump reclaim the presidency.

Not to belabor the point, but if JFK was resurrected, he’s be too busy making sure his presidential pecker was fully resurrected, and helping Trump regain the presidency would be the last thing on his mind.

I wrote this essay to try to bring home the point that QAnon cultists are absolutely nuts, and you shouldn’t waste any time trying to bring them to their senses.

Joe Biden Goes Off the Rails in His Voting Rights Speech

A firebrand, Joe Biden is not.

Biden won the 2020 presidential election by running as a moderate with a decades-long history in the Senate of achieving bipartisanship by cultivating personal relationships with his Republican colleagues.

He was perceived by the electorate as a level-headed statesman who was best equipped to unite our country after the chaos and division of the Trump administration.

We saw a different version of Biden in in a speech announcing his support for changing the filibuster rules to allow a simple majority to pass new voting rights legislation.

“Do you want to be the side of Dr. King or George Wallace?,” screamed Biden. “Do you want to be the side of John Lewis or Bull Connor? Do you want to be the side of Abraham Lincoln or Jefferson Davis? This is the moment to decide, to defend our elections, to defend our democracy. If you do that you will not be alone.”

Biden’s rhetoric was over the top and shrill, and his demeanor was off-putting. Even some Democrats criticized Biden’s rhetoric comparing the current opposition of Republicans to the voting rights legislation to segregationists.

Barack Obama often employed a professorial tone in his speeches, but he was capable of employing fiery oratory when he was led by the spirit. And it worked for him, because he was a relatively young for a politician.

Fire and brimstone verbosity doesn’t work for an old politician who looks like the Grim Reaper. Biden looked unhinged and deranged. Not a good look.

What the hell did Biden accomplish? Nothing. It’s Democrat senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema who have sabotaged his voting rights bills by refusing to agree to change the filibuster rules. If Manchin and Sinema have proven anything, it’s that they are immune to public pressure from their Democratic colleagues.

Unfortunately, the voting rights bills are dead. Biden should chill the hell out, and stop promising things he can’t deliver.

Evangelicals Don’t Get It: Having More Than Two Children is a Sin

“A majority of Americans in a new survey reject the idea that society is better off if marriage and procreation are prioritized. However, white evangelicals – who often hold more traditional views on the issue – think just the opposite.

The Pew Research Center survey found that only 34 percent of U.S. adults believe society is better off if ‘people make marriage and having children a priority,” while 64 percent believe society is ‘just as well off if people have priorities other than marriage and children.’

Yet among white evangelicals, 56 percent say society is better off with marriage and procreation being prioritized, while 41 percent say other priorities are fine.”

When Jehovah commanded Adam & Eve to “be fruitful and multiply”, it made perfect theological and evolutionary sense, if human beings were to survive as a species, an exponential growth spurt from day one was a biological necessity.

The first couple living in a pristine world could afford to procreate like rabbits without feeling a tinge of guilt, but today people living in an overpopulated and polluted world should think twice before bringing another child into this godforsaken world.

Americans get it, a life focused on getting married and having children is no longer a moral imperative. The opposite is true, a moral couple will take their financial situation and a surging world population into account, before having one or at the most two children.  

Evangelicals on the other hand are living in an alternate reality, where a woman’s greatest achievement is bearing children, and birthing a lot of little polluting monsters is somehow a good thing.

Once again, evangelicals are on the wrong side of history. Evolution doesn’t always get everything right, or else evangelicals would embrace birth control, be in favor of a woman’s right to choose, and stop having so many damn children

What emotion best describes white evangelicals?

Is it not seething anger? It doesn’t take any effort to picture a white evangelical shouting: Get off my lawn! Get out of my country! Stay out of my neighborhood! Don’t you dare enter my church!

Evangelicals used to place a high premium on repentance; they sought to repent of sins that angered their God, in the hopes it would bring them in harmony with their community.

Why are 21st century evangelicals so angry? It all stems from the fact that they have exchanged their compassionate and merciful messiah Jesus Christ for the sociopathic and vengeful Donald Trump.

Make no mistake about it, Trumpism has thoroughly corrupted the evangelical movement, in 2016 and in 2020 about 85 percent of evangelicals voted for their orange savior.

Evangelicals don’t measure the sincerity of their faith by how much they model the behavior of the kind and gentle Jesus Christ, but how they much they channel the vindictiveness, resentment and obnoxiousness of Trump.

Evangelicals judge the authenticity of your faith not by how closely you adhere to traditional Christian orthodoxy like the virgin birth and resurrection of Jesus Christ but by how loyal you are to the MAGA-controlled GOP.

Anger has corrupted the evangelical movement and destroyed the the Republican Party. It’s imperative that true Christians denounce the evangelical movement and that genuine Republicans cut out the cancer of Trumpism.

Evangelicals Love Their Long-winded Pastors

Sermons by evangelical ministers are devoid of empirical evidence, established science and common sense. You’d think their homilies would be short and sweet considering they appeal to the blind faith of their parishioners and they don’t engage in logical reasoning or a recitation of facts.

It shouldn’t take long for a bible-thumping preacher to bellow: The Bible says it, I believe it, and that settles it! Ya’ll go out there and convert the queers, commie liberals and feminazis to our Lord and Savior, Donald Trump!

But as anyone who has attended an evangelical service knows, pulpiters have a penchant for getting caught up in the Spirit, and they babble incoherently, seemingly endlessly.

When you are a cult member, and most evangelical congregations exhibit cult-like tendencies, you need constant reassurance. You need more than a ten-minute sermonette to cement your belief in your church’s myths, fables and conspiracy theories.

Hearing a televangelist screech for a minute is all the bullshit I can tolerate; thank God my mind and my spirit aren’t exposed to such toxic rhetoric.

We all have a senile uncle that we don’t let interact with friends and acquaintances during large gatherings for fear he may make a spectacle out of himself.

Uncle Joe’s handlers keep him on a short leash, during press conferences he is given a list of reporters to call on, and they are rarely allowed to ask any follow-up questions. He provides short answers, and the only conservative journalist he calls on is the hapless Peter Doocy from Fox News. Doocy is good for comic relief, but there are serious conservative White House correspondents that Biden habitually ignores.

In order to demonstrate the transparency of his administration and his mental agility it’s imperative that Biden hold a lengthy formal press conference where he takes questions from all the journalists present, and allows each correspondent at least one follow-up question.

Millennials Turn in Their Treasonous Boomer Parents for Their Role in the January 6 Capitol Attack

It’s incumbent upon anyone whose parents were involved in the insurrection to turn them in to the FBI, it’s the patriotic and Christian thing to do.

Indeed, if children turn them in, it’s evidence that their parents taught them to be civic-minded and to love their country before they became enthralled with Donald Trump and lost all perspective.

Young people would be well-advised not only to reject the terrorist actions of their parents, but also to reject the evangelical faith and the Republican ideology that inspired their treasonous and despicable crimes.

The evangelical movement and the Trump-enabling GOP are incompatible with democracy and patriotism.

There are still hundreds of insurrectionists that law enforcement has been unable to identify, millennials need to step up and do the right thing and turn in their treasonous Boomer parents.

Joe Biden is Sending Mixed Messages on Wearing a Mask

Former president Donald Trump famously eschewed wearing a mask. After all, a face covering might project vulnerability and weakness, and that would conflict with the macho image the grotesquely obese clown with the double-chin and the sphincter-shaped mouth sought to cultivate. Suffice to say, Trump didn’t model good behavior when it came to COVID mitigation efforts or anything else.

President Joe Biden isn’t much of an improvement, nearly two years into the pandemic he’s still sending mixed messages. He is wearing a mask outside alone with his wife while walking his dog yet takes it off when he goes indoor to a retail store surrounded by people.

Wearing a mask while playing with his puppy on a deserted beach with the Secret Service more than ten yards away isn’t virtue signaling, it’s a sign of dementia.

Biden is fully vaccinated and boosted, there is no damn reason for him to wear a mask on a deserted beach, none whatsoever!

A good citizen who’s done the right thing, been vaccinated and boosted, washes his hands frequently and wears a mask, when necessary, has earned the right not to don a mask on a deserted beach.

The president by all means should model good behavior but wearing a mask in a sparsely populated beach is anal-retentive conduct.

News Networks Should Boycott Trump’s January 6, 2022 Mar-a-Lago Press Conference

When Franklin D Roosevelt, the 32nd president of the United States, delivered the “Day of Infamy” speech to a joint session of Congress on December 8, 1941 Americans were united in the belief that Imperial Japan and Nazi Germany posed an existential threat to America. Decades later, December 7, is still a national day of mourning and remembrance that binds us together as a nation.

January 6, 2021 when a mob of Donald Trump supporters attacked the Capitol in Washington, D.C., seeking to overturn his defeat in the 2020 presidential election by disrupting the joint session of Congress assembled to count electoral votes that would formalize then President-elect Joe Biden’s landslide victory is also a day that should live in infamy.

But a year later only Democrats and a relative handful of Republicans perceive January 6, 2021 as a day of infamy when a safe and secure presidential election was almost overturned by an attempted coup.

Most Republicans accept Trump’s Big Lie that he won the election as the Gospel and they consider the violence of January 6, 2021 as a false flag event.

On December 6, 2022 the twice-impeached former president Donald Trump is going to hold a press conference at Mar-a-Lago, and he is expected to downplay the violent insurrection, reiterate his Big Lie and use the event as a kick-off for his 2024 presidential campaign.

It is critical that the cable news networks and broadcast stations do the right thing, and refuse to carry Trump’s shit show live. They should not give him a platform to promote his lies and disinformation.
