Thanks to Trump’s Supreme Court America Will be Flooded with Unwanted Babies and Unneeded Guns

The Trumpian Supreme Court overturned almost 50 years of federal abortion rights in its execrable decision on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.

Thirteen states have trigger laws that will soon make abortion illegal, and many other red states are expected to enact laws that outlaw abortion. Bottom line, abortion will be illegal in about 25 states.

This egregious ruling robs women of sovereignty over their own bodies and will result in tens of thousands of unwanted births.

Middle class and affluent women won’t be as severely impacted as poor women, they can afford to take time off from work and travel to a state where abortion is still legal. But poor women may not be able to afford to take time off from work and travel to another state.

According to the latest census the population of the United States is 329 million, with 37 million citizens living in poverty. The atrocious Dobbs ruling will add multitudes to the poverty rolls.

A week earlier the far-right Supreme court ruled that the Constitution protects an individual’s right to carry a handgun in public for self-defense.

There are estimated to be over 400 million guns in the United States between police, the military, and American civilians. Thanks to the Supreme Court’s ruling even more citizens will be walking around packing heat. The Wild Wild West was never as chaotic, dangerous and uncivilized as modern-day America.

Thanks to Trump’s Supreme Court we will have millions more unwanted babies, and millions more unneeded guns.

Outrage: Supreme Court Overturns Roe v. Wade

“The Supreme Court on Friday overruled Roe v. Wade, eliminating the constitutional right to abortion after almost 50 years in a decision that will transform American life, reshape the nation’s politics and lead to all but total bans on the procedure in about half of the states.”

The New York Times

The January 6 Committee Hearings have exposed in stark relief how close the authoritarian Donald Trump’s machinations came to keeping him in power in spite of his landslide loss to Joe Biden. We are living in perilous times and we can’t take anything for granted, not democracy or our constitutional rights.

This is a dark age in the history of our democracy, this execrable ruling may be a precursor of horrors to come. Today the far-right Supreme Court dealt a crushing blow to women’s rights, will they strike down marriage equality next?

Welcome to the Handmaid’s Tale America, racists and Christian nationalists and far-right reactionaries have taken over the Supreme Court and the Republican Party.

These religious conservatives are in the minority, the majority of Americans wanted Roe to remain the law of the land. The vast majority of Americans support sensible gun control laws, but yesterday the Supremes struck down New York’s law limiting guns in public.

To hell with fascist red, white and blue fake patriotism, America is a rainbow country. America is a “live and let live” democracy, and we must take our country back from white evangelicals, far-right Justices, and Trumpian Republicans.

In Light of the Probability the Supreme Court Will Overturn Roe v Wade We Must Make Abortion Pills Free or Low Cost and Easily Available

During the pandemic the United Kingdom House of Commons voted in favor of an amendment to the Health and Care Bill, to make abortion pills at home rules permanent in England and Wales.

In America we have to deal not only with the coronavirus pandemic but with the pandemic of religious intolerance, racism and conspiracy theories emanating from the white evangelical movement.

The coronavirus is no respecter of persons, and it infects people of every gender, race, sexual orientation and religious affiliation. But the evangelical virus targets religious minorities, gays and lesbians, and women whom the pernicious faith regards as subservient to men.

Evangelicals seek to rob women of sovereignty over their own bodies; their holy crusade to overturn Roe v Wade may finally come to fruition when the Supreme Court rules on the matter in late spring or early summer.

In light of the dark fate awaiting Roe, we must act as if we are in a pandemic of ignorance and intolerance and educate women on how to obtain abortion pills.

Per Planned Parenthood:

“You can get the abortion pill from a doctor, nurse, health clinic, or Planned Parenthood health center. You may be able to get the abortion pill for free or low cost.

You can get medication abortion (AKA the abortion pill) at many Planned Parenthood health centers. Our caring doctors and nurses are experts at providing safe abortion and non-judgmental support throughout the process. Even if your local Planned Parenthood health center doesn’t provide the abortion pill, you can call for more information about where to get it in your area.

A medication abortion can cost up to $750, but it’s often less. The cost of a medication abortion (AKA the abortion pill) can vary depending on the state where you receive care and your health insurance (private or government insurance). Your local Planned Parenthood health center can give you more information about the cost of the abortion and funds that might be available to help you pay for your abortion.”

We shouldn’t expect that the conservative Supreme Court Justices will have an epiphany and not overturn Roe, we must start planning now on how to live in an America without the protection of Roe.

Shame on Chief Justice John Roberts for Attending Red Mass Before Opening of Supreme Court’s Term

“Hundreds attended the annual Red Mass on Sunday at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle in Washington. The purpose of the Red Mass — traditionally held the Sunday before the opening of the Supreme Court term on the first Monday in October — is to invoke God’s blessings on those responsible for the administration of justice.

On Sunday, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. was the sole member of the Supreme Court to join hundreds of other Washingtonians at Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle for the Red Mass, a ceremony typically held on the Sunday before the first Monday in October, the opening of the high court’s term.”

Roman Catholics account for only about 20% of the U.S. population, yet they hold six of the nine seats on the Supreme Court. The Catholics on the nation’s highest court include Chief Justice John Roberts and associate Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Sonia Sotomayor, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett.

The Roman Catholic patriarchal religious organization is vehemently opposed to a woman’s right to choose, and all of the Catholic Justices, with the exception of liberal Sonia Sotomayor, are injudiciously inclined to overturn Roe v. Wade.

It’s a sacred violation of the sacred principle of separation of church and state for the Chief Justice to attend the appropriately named, Red Church. Would any citizen be surprised if the Supreme Court seeking to appease red states and the Catholic Church either overturned Roe v. Wade or for all practical purposes rendered it toothless?

Gallup’s latest (July 2021) update on U.S. abortion attitudes finds 58% of Americans opposed to overturning the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, while 32% are in favor. Since 1989, between 52% and 66% of U.S. adults have wanted to maintain the landmark abortion decision. Today’s support roughly matches the average over that three-decade period.

Roe v Wade is settled law and it would be a tragedy if it was overturned by religious zealots on the Supreme Court. Shame on Chief Justice Roberts for attending the damn Red Mass

Biden Will Never Expand the Supreme Court, Let’s Hope Harris Will Take Over in 2024 or Before Then & Do the Right Thing

Donald Trump’s presidency was corrupt, chaotic and criminal, he whiled away the weeks, months and years grifting, gossiping, gloating and gaslighting. The autocrat ruled by executive action, and most of his executive orders have been reversed or annulled by his liberal successor.

Trump has the reverse Midas touch, everything he touches turns to shit, and he left behind a broken economy, a virus-infected population and a democracy in tatters.

Trump didn’t have the patience, focus or inclination to establish a conservative agenda, however he was hellbent on tilting the judiciary to the right. He appointed 234 judges, including 54 appellate judges, and three supreme court justices, handing the conservatives a 6-3- majority.

Next term the Supreme Court term is set to consider healthcare, voting, LGBTQ rights, the 2nd amendment and abortion. Call it Trump’s revenge, call it the conservatives using the courts to enact repressive laws that have been rejected by the electorate or call it judicial fuckery, but it’s coming.

The only way to put a stop to this conservative judicial tyranny is by expanding the courts, but in 1983, then Sen Joe Biden called “court-packing” a “bonehead idea,” and warned in 2019 during a presidential primary debate that adding more justices would destroy “any credibility the court has at all.”

Biden isn’t a radical or a revolutionary and he will never take the extreme action necessary to reverse the packing of the court by then Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and President Donald Trump.

The court has already been packed, unfortunately Biden doesn’t have the gonads to undo the damage. I can only hope that vice president Kamala Harris, who is a real progressive, will take over in 2024, or sooner, and do the right thing.

Outrage: Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Skips Donald Trump’s Speech

Not only did Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg never miss a speech that President Barack Obama delivered to Congress, but she always hugged him.

Ginsburg made her loathing for Donald Trump clear before he was elected president, during the heated campaign she called him a “faker.”

Chief Justice John Roberts, and Justices Anthony Kennedy, Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan attended Trump`s address to Congress last night. Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito weren`t in attendance, continuing their past practice.

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was notably absent from President Donald Trump`s first address to a joint session of Congress, shame on the hideous little gnome.

Justice Ginsburg is making a mockery of the principle that the Supreme Court is above politics, her love of the constitution and justice should exceed her hatred and disdain of Trump, and she should have dragged her skeletal butt to Congress to hear Trump`s speech.

Trump isn`t an easy man to like, his clownish Oompa Loompa appearance is matched by his petty and vulgar character. But he`s exceedingly blessed that his primary female detractors (Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, Lena Dunham, Leslie Jones, Rosie O`Donnell, Elizabeth Warren, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg) are the most physically and morally repulsive creatures on the face of the Earth.

Hopefully, the Grim Reaper will drag Ginsburg to hell before she has another opportunity to embarrass herself and disrespect the president by skipping another presidential address.
