Twitter Permanently Bans Newsmax White House Correspondent For Tweeting COVID Conspiracy Theories

“On 1 November 2021, Newsmax White House correspondent Emerald Robinson tweeted a warning: ‘Dear Christians: the vaccines contain a bioluminescent marker called LUCIFERASE so that you can be tracked’. Robinson’s tweet was soon deleted, and her Twitter account temporarily locked for repeated violations of Twitter’s COVID-19 misinformation policy (before being permanently banned on 10 November 2021).

Health Feedback

My first thought is why was a crazy conspiracy theorist who works for Newsmax, a cable news network that spews rightwing propaganda and conspiracy theories 24/7, granted credentials to serve as a White House correspondent?

My second thought is, I’m not surprised that Robinson, an evangelical Christian, believes that the COVID vaccines contain a marker so they can be tracked by the federal government.

After all, evangelicals believe in all types of nonsense like the notion that we are living in the End Times and that Jesus will soon Rapture his believers out of this world, meet them in the air, and I guess transport them to paradise.

WWJD? Jesus would rapture the racist, judgmental, and hateful evangelicals out of this world and dump them in the Lake of Fire.

Newsmax disavowed Robinson’s claims and she is currently off the air, but she hasn’t been fired. This screwball who plays at being a journalist should have been summarily fired by Newsmax, and her White House credentials should have been revoked.

White Evangelicals Least Likely Group to Get COVID-19 Vaccine

Vaccine hesitancy is epidemic in white evangelical circles, according to a recent survey only 54 percent of white evangelicals “definitely or probably” plan to get vaccinated.

This in due in large part because the unofficial pope of white evangelicals, Donald Trump, eschews mitigation efforts against COVID including social distancing, wearing masks and getting vaccinated. If Trump enthusiastically urged his followers to get vaccinated, they would line up to be vaccinated and they would consider the bandage covering the injection site an emblem of their faith in Jesus and his orange messiah, Donald Trump.

White evangelicals don’t get the vaccine because Trump doesn’t emphasize the importance of the vaccine, and Trump doesn’t emphasize the importance of the vaccine because he doesn’t want to lose the support of evangelicals, many of whom were anti-vaxxers long before the coronavirus pandemic. What a vicious circle of ignorance and moral cowardice.

There’s a long history of anti-science within American evangelicalism, their mantra is “Jesus is my vaccine”, not I trust in science to defeat the pandemic. It’s a badge of honor and a demonstration of their faith for evangelicals to refuse to be vaccinated.

According to a Pew research study only 48 percent of white evangelicals said they would consider the community health effects a lot when deciding to be vaccinated. In other words, evangelicals only care about their own tribe, and they are unconcerned and unfazed if their anti-vaccine stance results in a coronavirus breakout in their city.

Unfortunately, Trump didn’t get vaccinated in the glare of the cameras, and there’s no verse in the Bible that states, “You must be vaccinated”, therefore I have little faith white evangelicals will have an epiphany and get vaccinated for their own good and for the good of society.

People Who Wear Glasses Are Three Times Less Likely to Catch COVID-19

I’ve worn glasses since elementary school and if I had a dime for every time, I was called four-eyes I would be a millionaire. Wearing glasses has been a handicap all my life, men seldom make passes at girls who wear glasses and women give men who wear glasses a wide berth. I’m now a senior citizen and almost all my contemporaries wear corrective lenses, and still, nobody makes a pass at me. Hmm, maybe it wasn’t the glasses.

In the age of the global coronavirus pandemic there’s finally a silver lining for those of us who wear spectacles. According to a non-peer reviewed study published on the website medRxiv, people who wear glasses could be up to three times less likely to be infected by the coronavirus.

The virus can enter the body by people touching their eyes, nose, or mouth after coming into contact with it.

However, the study suggests people who wear glasses rub their eyes less and are therefore at less risk of contracting COVID-19.

These days I’m glad women give this four-eyed old geezer a wide berth, I don’t want to catch the virus from them. My glasses make me feel special knowing that I am three times less likely to catch COVID-19 than folks who don’t wear them.

Trump’s Mockery of Biden for Wearing a Mask Will Backfire

Donald Trump aka Cadet Bone Spurs likes to portray himself as a tough guy; in rallies he frequently poses with his tiny fists clenched as if he was a prizefighter ready to take on all comers.

Anyone who hasn’t binged on Kool-Aid knows that he is a sniveling coward who’s subservient to real tough guy dictators like Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un. But his tough guy act works with his evangelical base who sees him as Jesus Christ the action hero.

Trump refuses to consistently wear a mask in public, even though as a morbidly obese septuagenarian with heart problems he is particularly susceptible to COVID. He thinks he’s being macho by not wearing a mask in a pandemic, and he mocks politicians and reporters who do so.

At a campaign rally crowd in Pennsylvania Trump mocked Joe Biden for wearing a mask:

“But did you ever see a man that likes a mask as much as him? He makes a speech, and he always has it – not always, but a lot of times, he has it hanging down. Because you know what, it gives him a feeling of security.”

Mocking Biden for wearing a mask makes as much sense as mocking him for driving his Camaro without wearing a seat belt. Wearing a mask is an excellent defense against the coronavirus that has killed more than 190,000 Americans, just as wearing a seat belt is an excellent defense from dying in traffic accidents that kill hundreds of thousands each year.

Biden isn’t an idiot and that’s why he wears a mask in public and wears a seat belt when cruising around in his Camaro.

Trump is going to be clenching his tiny fists in rage on November 3 when Americans tired of his macho posturing and idiotic behavior kick him to the curb.

Trump Cultists Willing to Sacrifice the Elderly and Open the Economy in the Middle of Coronavirus Pandemic to Help Him Win Reelection

Cult leaders are usually young, virile, eloquent and handsome men who project power and authority and every smooth word they utter is accepted as Gospel by their followers.

Donald Trump is neither young nor virile and his face with a bulbous nose, sphincter-shaped mouth and orange complexion is repulsive and frightening but every incoherent and nonsensical statement that he utters is accepted as Gospel by his white evangelical sycophants.

Having a cult leader as commander-in-chief during a time of peace and prosperity was unnerving and unsettling, but having Trump in charge during a pandemic is absolutely horrifying.

Trump followers are effectively cult members and they won’t be swayed from supporting their Dear Leader for any reason. Before they became MAGA nutjobs white evangelicals were already conditioned to accept the ranting and ravings of televangelists as the Gospel, therefore it’s not surprising that they accept everything their false Messiah says as Gospel regardless how fantastical and incoherent his comments may appear to a normal person.

During a crisis cult members depend upon and trust their cult leader more than ever, and they are willing to open the economy at the urging of their leader in the middle of a pandemic. They are more than willing to sacrifice the elderly and other vulnerable citizens in order to save the economy and help the reelection prospects of their Messiah.

For Trump cultists what’s good for Trump is good for the country and if you challenge his medically unsound policies you are fighting against God.

It’s clear that we are fighting the coronavirus as well as the more insidious infection of Trumpism. Things will not return to any semblance of normalcy until with defeat Trumpism and COVID-19

The Coronavirus Won’t Disappear Until Donald Trump Disappears

The coronavirus pandemic has exposed the cluelessness and fecklessness of Donald Trump. The American public doesn’t expect our president to be a rocket scientist or a brain surgeon, but they do expect him to have the humility and modicum of intelligence to defer to physicians and scientists during a pandemic. The president should serve as the comforter-in-charge by making frequent press conferences to demonstrate that he’s on top of the crisis, and the public doesn’t have to worry because he’s following the advice of his medical team.

Trump has utterly failed in his role as comforter-in chief and most Americans are scared to death with a racist buffoon in charge during a pandemic. Only his evangelical base is comforted by the contradictory statements and tweets emanating from the White House.

A con artist learns to speak the lexicon that appeals to his marks, and Trump is an expert speaking the language of evangelicals. During the beginning of the pandemic Trump insisted that the disease was contained and that it was not a threat. “It’s going to disappear”, he told the American public on February 28th. “One day it’s like a miracle, it will disappear.” These ignorant words were received gratefully by evangelicals who value faith over science and empirical facts.

Rational Americans know that the virus isn’t eradicated or slowed down by thoughts, prayers and miracles. Without practical measures to slow it down, covid-19 will continue to spread exponentially for months. The spread can be slowed down if we practice good hygiene, avoid public spaces and generally limit our movement.

This pandemic may last for many more months, it’s imperative that we kick the racist buffoon out of office in November. Joe Biden isn’t perfect by any means, but he isn’t a megalomaniac narcissist, and he can see us through this pandemic.
