Black Evangelicals Need to Reclaim Their Faith from White Evangelicals

When you hear a news reporter mention evangelical Christians what image comes to mind? A middle-aged white person wearing a MAGA hat, waving a Bible in one hand and brandishing a Trump flag in the other? The operative word being “white”, whether they’re suburban parishioners worshipping in a megachurch, or trailer park denizens attending a revival in a big tent, we think of evangelicals as white.

The white evangelical movement in America is a heretical strain of Protestant Christianity that has corrupted Christianity and infected the Republican Party. White Christian nationalists and other strains of the evangelical faith have taken control of the GOP, the Bible is their political platform and Donald Trump is their messiah. Their orange messiah has embraced their Gospel of xenophobia, transphobia, homophobia and misogyny.

The constant linking of Whiteness with evangelical Christianity, obscures the fact that there are millions of black, brown and Asian evangelicals in America.

Black evangelicals are as theologically conservative and socially conservative as their white counterparts, but black evangelicals aren’t enthralled with the sociopath and amoral Trump. They tend to vote Democratic, and they don’t believe in the heresy of Christian nationalism.

Sadly, homophobia is one sin that black evangelicals share with white evangelicals, hopefully they will come to despise homophobia as much as they despise racism.

Black, brown and Asian evangelicals, the vast majority of whom don’t share the far-right and extremist views of white evangelicals, need to reclaim the evangelical faith from heretical white evangelicals. They can start by being as vociferous preaching unity, love and the brotherhood of man as white evangelicals are in preaching racism and hatred.

Anti-LGBTQ Bigotry in Evangelical Churches Driving Away Young Christians

According to the Public Religion Research Institute the number of Americans who identify as white evangelicals has declined dramatically, from 23% in 2006 to 14.5% in 2020.

Younger evangelicals in particular are leaving the faith of their fathers, because they just can’t abide their antiquated attitude toward the LGBTQ community.

There’s a dichotomy between evangelical ministers who rail against “sodomites” from the pulpit, and the millennials in their congregations who accept gays and lesbians as equal members of society and as children of God.

The Jehovah of the Old Testament may have considered gays and lesbians worthy of death, but the Jesus of the Gospels never even mentioned homosexuality. Younger evangelicals are more likely to adopt the laissez-faire of Jesus toward gays and other social outcasts than the judgmental attitude of Jehovah.

Truth be told, the Bible condemns homosexuality but it also condones slavery and genocide. Christians should exercise discernment and wisdom in how they view the Bible, it’s inspired text meant to be interpreted judiciously not a universal penal code meant to be adhered to slavishly.

Angry White Evangelical Men are a Cancer Deadlier Than the Coronavirus Pandemic

The Gospels depict Jesus Christ as a kind and loving spiritual teacher who turned the other cheek and who sought to win the hearts and souls of men and women with the love of God.

White evangelical men are the antithesis of the gentle spirit of Christ, their main characteristic is an anger that manifests itself against everything and everybody who doesn’t subscribe to their narrow religious beliefs.

Their default mode is an angry spirit, and their hair-trigger temper will explode when they see a Democratic politician on TV, a man sporting a Gay Pride T-shirt in a mall, a woman twerking in a club, a pregnant woman entering a Planned Parenthood clinic, a black youth protesting in a BLM demonstration, or really a black person just having the temerity to be alive.

White evangelical men see themselves as soldiers for Christ, and they fancy themselves fighting a crusade against godless liberals. They seek to establish a theocracy of white Christians, by white Christians and for white Christians.

They justify their racism, homophobia, and misogyny as “righteous anger”, when in reality it’s the naked anger and hatred that Jesus condemned.

It’s incumbent upon us who love democracy, inclusiveness and the brotherhood of men to recognize who are enemy is: white evangelicals. It’s incumbent upon is to defeat out enemy by exposing them, repudiating them, and fighting their lies and hatred with the truth and love.

White Evangelicals are an Existential Threat to Our Democracy

If evangelicals don’t change, they pose an existential crisis to us all … their racism, their sexism, their homophobia, their lack of belief in science, lack of belief and common sense may end up killing us all.”

Statement made at a recent panel hosted by the University of Virginia titled:

“White Evangelical Racism: The Politics of Morality in America.”

Amen!

As a vulnerable retired Latino living on a fixed income, it’s imperative that I recognize my enemies, and I’m cognizant that my most implacable and formidable adversaries are white evangelicals. They are on a mission from God to disenfranchise liberal Hispanics like me, and I’m constantly on guard for their evil machinations.

Their Christian Nationalism is an existential threat to our secular democracy, their sexism is a threat to women’s rights and equality, their homophobia imperils the freedom and indeed the safety, security and lives of our gay and lesbian brothers and sisters, their ignorance land lack of belief in science threatens our standing as a civilized society.

It’s imperative that educators, politicians, intellectuals, theologians and everyday citizens treat white evangelicals as the biggest threat to our freedom and liberty.

White evangelicals aren’t going to change, with every passing year their racism, misogyny, homophobia and intolerance only grows in intensity and fervor.

We must declare war on white evangelicals, and fight their evil theology tooth and nail. Demographics and history are against these Neanderthals, but we shouldn’t wait for them to die out. We must speak truth to power, and challenge their bigotry, ignorance and intolerance with inclusivity, science and tolerance.

Dear God: Please Rapture the Hateful Evangelicals the Hell Out of Here

A century ago, “The Rapture of the Church” was an eschatological theological position held by few Christians, primarily American evangelicals. Today most American evangelicals believe in the Rapture, and even most secular Americans are familiar with the concept: Christians around the world will be taken up (raptured) into heaven prior to the unleashing of apocalyptic events culminating with the rise of the anti-Christ and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

I prefer a Christianity based on the teaching of Jesus Christ and without any Science Fiction/Disaster movie theatrics, but to each his own.

American white evangelicals are the most loathsome Christian movement on the face of the Earth, they stand for everything that is antithetical to the Gospel of Jesus Christ: racism, misogyny, homophobia, xenophobia, capitalism run amuck, baseless conspiracy theories, Trumpism …

Most of what evangelicals believe in is hogwash, but how I pray that there will really be a Rapture when the good Lord take up evangelicals into heaven. That may turn heaven into hell, but good riddance to bad rubbish.

On the other hand, without evangelicals America would be a democratic paradise: hate crimes and racism would plummet and Kumbaya would become the National Anthem.

Oh God, please, please rapture the evangelicals to kingdom come.

It’s Time to Cancel White Evangelicals

Since the 70’s decades evangelicals have preferred the “Christian family values” of GOP candidates over the perceived secular values of Democrats, but in the Trump era it’s now an article of faith that evangelicals vote for the Republican party, and only apostates vote for Democrats.

It’s now axiomatic that white evangelicals are Republicans and Republicans are evangelicals. Evangelicals and Trumpism are synonymous, evangelicals have inextricably tied their reputation to the toxic Trump brand.

Evangelical Christians have ruined the reputation of all Christians, because nominal Christians, atheists and agnostics and people of other faiths don’t distinguish between evangelical Christians, mainline Protestants and Roman Catholics, and they will conclude that all Christians are racist, homophobic and misogynist.

It’s incumbent upon the minority of evangelicals who don’t worship the orange false messiah and mainline Protestants and Roman Catholics to denounce the racism, xenophobia, homophobia and misogyny of white evangelicals.

In fact, evangelicals who don’t support the unchristian, amoral and wannabe dictator Trump would be well-advised to stop identifying themselves as “evangelicals.”

The word “evangelical” is anathema, and every true Christian, person of other religions, and agnostics and atheists must make common cause in defeating the false Gospel of white evangelicals.

White Evangelicals Least Likely Group to Get COVID-19 Vaccine

Vaccine hesitancy is epidemic in white evangelical circles, according to a recent survey only 54 percent of white evangelicals “definitely or probably” plan to get vaccinated.

This in due in large part because the unofficial pope of white evangelicals, Donald Trump, eschews mitigation efforts against COVID including social distancing, wearing masks and getting vaccinated. If Trump enthusiastically urged his followers to get vaccinated, they would line up to be vaccinated and they would consider the bandage covering the injection site an emblem of their faith in Jesus and his orange messiah, Donald Trump.

White evangelicals don’t get the vaccine because Trump doesn’t emphasize the importance of the vaccine, and Trump doesn’t emphasize the importance of the vaccine because he doesn’t want to lose the support of evangelicals, many of whom were anti-vaxxers long before the coronavirus pandemic. What a vicious circle of ignorance and moral cowardice.

There’s a long history of anti-science within American evangelicalism, their mantra is “Jesus is my vaccine”, not I trust in science to defeat the pandemic. It’s a badge of honor and a demonstration of their faith for evangelicals to refuse to be vaccinated.

According to a Pew research study only 48 percent of white evangelicals said they would consider the community health effects a lot when deciding to be vaccinated. In other words, evangelicals only care about their own tribe, and they are unconcerned and unfazed if their anti-vaccine stance results in a coronavirus breakout in their city.

Unfortunately, Trump didn’t get vaccinated in the glare of the cameras, and there’s no verse in the Bible that states, “You must be vaccinated”, therefore I have little faith white evangelicals will have an epiphany and get vaccinated for their own good and for the good of society.

America Must Destroy the White Evangelical Movement

America was founded as a constitutional republic with biblical principles codified in its constitution. In the early years of our democracy the ruling class didn’t see any inconsistency between their biblical values and the genocide of Native Americans and the enslavement of black people. They didn’t experience any dissonance going to church to praise God and then whipping their male slaves to encourage them to work harder and raping their female slaves.

Although America has had a high degree of secularization, evangelical Christianity still exerts an important influence on politics, especially on the Republican party.

Although the first Republican president, Abraham Lincoln, emancipated the slaves, there is still a strong streak of racism in the white evangelical movement. It’s no surprise that most of the white nationalists who stormed the Capitol in an ill-fated attempt to keep their white messiah in power self-identified as evangelicals.

Christian nationalism is undermining inclusiveness, pluralism and democracy itself, and in order to survive as a democracy we must recognize white evangelicals as an existential threat.

The white supremacist-in-chief has been defeated at the ballot box, but Trump-supporting evangelicals are still a threat and we must fight their religious extremism tooth and nail.

As a writer I will devote the rest of my life to exposing the racism, fascism, misogyny and homophobia of white evangelicals, and we must all use our gifts, resources and talents to destroy white evangelicalism in America.

We Need Herd Immunity Against the Coronavirus and White Evangelicals

There will be more spikes in coronavirus cases, hospitalizations, and deaths, but we shouldn’t despair because we have President Joe Biden’s promise that there will be enough vaccine available for all adults by the end of May.

Of course, having enough vaccine for every adult isn’t synonymous with every adult getting a shot in the arm, there are logistical problems that need to be overcome before we reach herd immunity.

The availability of vaccine is going up and at the same time vaccine hesitancy is going down. According to a Pew Research Center survey, 69 percent of Americans have indicated that they’ve either already taken the vaccine or will definitely or probably take it in the future. That’s up from 60 percent last November and significantly up for the low of 51 percent in September 2020.

But it’s not all good news on the vaccine front, vaccine hesitancy is still epidemic in white evangelical communities, and it could imperil our goal of herd immunity.

According to the Pew survey white evangelicals are the least likely to say they should consider the health effects on their community when deciding to be vaccinated. White evangelicals have the mindset of Jesus is my vaccine and the Holy Ghost and not masks will protect us, and we will continue to hold superspreader events in our churches and if the heathen get infected it’s their fault for not trusting Jesus.

Evangelicals main imperative is to evangelize, that is to demonstrate their care and compassion for their communities by reaching out to them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. But their message that Jesus saves will fall on deaf ears when their refusal to wear masks, social distance and be vaccinated reveals a total disregard for the health and welfare of their neighbors. Instead of spreading the love of Christ white evangelicals are spreading false conspiracy theories and the coronavirus. White evangelicals are a more deadly disease than the coronavirus, and I’m hoping that they will be wiped out along with the coronavirus.

Evangelicals Who Still Believe Trump Won Can Eat Shi* and Die

On Nov. 3, 2020, Trump campaign adviser Harlan Hill said he’d livestream himself eating his shoe if Joe Biden won the presidential election.

Don’t bother searching YouTube for a video of Hill eating his shoe, it doesn’t exist. When Mediate asked Hill if he planned to keep his word and eat his shoe, he answered, “Trump won.”

Hill wasn’t the only Republican politician who on Election Day and the weeks following insisted that Trump won, although they didn’t put their foot in their mouth by promising to eat a shoe if Biden won.

Thousands of evangelical ministers prophesied that Trump would win including Pat Robertson, Paula White-Cain, Greg Locke and Jeremiah Johnson. Only a handful have publicly apologized, any many still insist that Trump actually won.

The punishment specified for false prophets in the Old Testament was severe: “If any prophet dares to speak a message in My name that I have not commanded him to speak, or to speak in the name of other gods, that prophet must be put to death” (Deuteronomy 18:20).

I’m not as harsh as the Jehovah of the Old Testament but I do wish that clowns like Robertson and Locke who assured their followers that the Almighty Himself had told them that Trump was going to win would eat shit and die, or at least eat a pair of old sneakers.

Millions of QAnon cultists and evangelicals swallowed Trump’s Big Lie and still believe that Trump won and Joe Biden is an illegitimate president.

The Bible says that the devil is a liar and the father of lies. These Trump-supporting evangelicals have been deceived by one of the devil’s biggest lies, that Trump is a messiah figure who was cheated out of victory.

I don’t expect evangelicals to have an epiphany or to acknowledge reality by presenting them with facts and evidence, they are willfully blind. I simply write them off, only citizens who believe the truth and cherish the truth can join us who voted for Biden in building a more perfect union.

Evangelicals Who Support Trump are Anathema

It’s estimated that there are more than 30,000 Christian denominations worldwide, and more than 1,200 in the United States alone. There is no prevailing view of what it means to be a Christian. Most of these Christian organizations don’t embrace an ecumenical spirit, and they hold a very parochial opinion of who is a real Christian.

Whether a Christian believes in the divinity of Jesus Christ or not, and whether a Christian believes in the infallibility of scripture or not, everyone can agree that the most direct and accurate description of Jesus come from the Gospels.

The basic thesis of the Gospels, indeed of all the Bible, can be distilled into the Golden Rule, do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Jesus taught his disciples that the basic imperative of Scripture is to love God and to love their neighbors as themselves.

Jesus did not have one word to say about homosexuality or abortion, therefore when evangelical Christians call any Christian who believes in marriage equality and choice evil, they are speaking from their own ignorance and prejudice and not from the authority of the Bible.

Jesus’ ministry consisted of preaching the Gospel (that he was the promised Messiah) and ministering to the material and spiritual needs of social outcasts and marginalized communities. Therefore, when evangelicals neglect to tend to the physical needs of the poor and disenfranchised and instead demonize them, they aren’t exhibiting Christian behavior.

When evangelicals idolize a short-fingered vulgarian whose rhetoric, behavior and actions are the antithesis of the loving and peaceful Jesus of the Gospels we can deduce that their racism and resentment has taken them down a road that’s a long way from true Christianity.

You don’t have to be a theologian to deduce that evangelicals who support Trump are anathema.

White Evangelicals Silent After Black D.C Churches Vandalized At Pro Trump Rallies

Tens of thousands of white evangelicals marched in D.C in support of President Donald Trump’s campaign to steal the election from Joe Biden. After the political cum religious rallies four downtown churches were vandalized, and evangelicals have failed to condemn the violence or express solidarity with the congregations of the vandalized houses of worship.

Two of the damaged churches were historically Black churches where vandals ripped down Black Lives Matter banners. These churches have a long history of speaking out against social injustice, a religious stance that’s anathema to the white evangelicals who fervently support their racist false messiah.

The Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church reported that vandals slashed a banner printed with colors supporting LGBTQ rights, and we all know evangelicals are loathe to show any empathy for gays and lesbians.

Evangelicals get their panties into a twist when white churches are vandalized, and they speak long sermons on behalf of fetuses, but it seems they have taken a vow of silence when it comes to condemning violence against gays and people of color, even when they happen to be fellow Christians.

It’s crystal clear that Gay lives don’t matter and Black lives don’t matter to white evangelicals. They don’t have a place at the table, a seat in the pews or a place in line at the voting polls as far as white evangelicals are concerned.

The moral silence is stupefying and an affront to the Almighty and to the Gospel they claim to believe.

MyPillow Guy Mike Lindell Turns Against Fox News and Endorses Big Lie That Election Was Stolen From Trump

Mike Lindell is an American entrepreneur with the ethics of B.T Barnum who employs the infomercial aesthetic to hawk his overpriced pillows to the geriatric demographics of The Fox News Channel knowing they are demented enough to buy his fluffy pillows at inflated prices.

The CEO of MyPillow spoke to a crowd at a pro-Trump march in D.C on Saturday and singled out Fox News Channel as being in on a major conspiracy to the steal the election from Donald Trump. “This fraud is real,” he said. “It’s of epic proportions that this election was stolen.”

Let me channel Captain Obvious and point out that the real winner in a popular vote and Electoral College landslide was Joe Biden.

The MyPillow schmuck concluded his remarks by prophesying that the fraud will be proven, and that Trump will still be elected.

Then he suggested that we might already be in the Biblical “End Times”, a remark that resonated with the white evangelical audience.

Lindell bit the hand that feeds him, because Pro-Trump fanatics have migrated from Fox News to even more far-right cable news networks like Newsmax and OANN. Most Fox News anchors and reporters have explicitly or at least tacitly acknowledged that Joe Biden is president-elect, and that’s anathema to Trump’s cult-like followers who live in an alternate reality where their messiah won in a landslide.

Trump is a master grifter and he realizes that he doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of stealing the election from Biden; he is using the “Stop the Steal” campaign to raise hundreds of millions he can use for a 2024 presidential run and to keep his name in the news.

Lindell isn’t an idiot and he knows damn well that the massive fraud allegation is hogwash, he is simply pandering to the brainwashing evangelicals who buy his pillows.

White evangelicals will sleep soundly in their MyPillow pillows under the delusion that God will somehow intervene to expose Biden as a fraud and that their hero Trump will be sworn in again as president of the United States.

At least until January 20, 2021 when the president-elect Joe Biden will be sworn in as the 46th president of the United States.

To Hell With White Evangelicals and Their Sky Daddy

I saw “Sky Daddy” trending on Twitter, and as a self-appointed pop culture expert and a critic of organized religion I was surprised that I was unfamiliar with the term.

Sky Daddy is a somewhat offensive and definitely blasphemous term for God. Atheists, agnostics and enlightened believers apply this phrase to the deity worshiped by evangelical Christians.

Only a child would refer to his father as “daddy” and only evangelicals who take pride in their child-like faith believe in a Divine Being who must be cajoled and beseeched into granting their basic needs and greedy desires.

When a father warns his child not to disobey him, he might say: If you don’t stop teasing your little sister the Bogeyman is going to get you! Fundamentalist ministers warn their followers from giving in to the “sin” of sodomy by preaching that Jehovah will cast sodomites into the lake of fire.

White evangelicals deify Donald Trump because the authoritarian, capricious and vindictive Man Baby is so much like the infantile God they worship. They are afraid that if they don’t unconditionally support their false messiah, he will punish them with cruel tweets and banish them from the GOP (God’s Own Party).

Evangelicals should forsake the Sky Daddy of the Old Testament and follow the Jesus of the Gospels who ministered to the poor and disenfranchised and never even mentioned homosexuality. Jesus didn’t live in fear of Sky Daddy and he would have eviscerated a petty, vindictive buffoon like Donald Trump.

Why Did So Many Hispanics Vote for an Unapologetic Racist Like Trump?

“People were surprised about a lot of Hispanic folks who voted for Trump, but there are a lot of evangelical Hispanics.”

The fact that Trump says racist things about Mexicans or…puts undocumented workers in cages—they think that’s less important than he supports their views on gay marriage or abortion.”

Barack Obama’s comments on the podcast “The Breakfast Club”

The Hispanic vote isn’t monolithic, for example Democrats expect to lose a sizable segment of the Cuban American and Venezuelan American electorate in Florida because these immigrants equate the Democratic Party with the socialism they fled from.

But liberals were shocked by the Latin support the racist-in-chief gained nationwide. For example, in 93-percent Hispanic Zapata County in Texas, he won by six percentage points while Hillary Clinton carried the county in 2016 by 33 percentage points.

Latinos viscerally feel the racism that emanates from the rhetoric and polices of Donald Trump, and are loathe to support a brazen racist, so why did so many Latinos vote for him?

As always Obama is spot on, there are a lot of evangelical Hispanics who voted against their own self-interest and voted for an unapologetic racist who separated children from their parents at the border and put them in cages as a deterrence against crossing the border illegally.

Too many evangelical Hispanics acted irrationally, illogically and immorally by voting for Trump because he’s a homophobe who appointed pro-life judges. Unfortunately, there’s a strong strain of homophobia in the Latin community and Trump’s disdain for gays and lesbian resonated with them, and overrode any concerns about his blatant racism.

The Jesus of Trump and his evangelical sycophants is not the Jesus of the Gospels, and their version of Christianity is not the Christianity of the New Testament. If Hispanic evangelicals, indeed if all evangelicals, abandoned their faux and heretical evangelical faith and embraced true Christianity they would never vote for an immoral and racist reprobate like Trump.

Dump Trump and Evangelical Filth on Dumpster Election Day

“The waxwork museum Madame Tussauds in Berlin loaded its effigy of TV star-turned Republican president Donald Trump into a dumpster on Friday, a move apparently intended to reflect its expectations of next Tuesday’s presidential election.

In what seemed a further calculated insult, the statue of his predecessor and nemesis Barack Obama, who counted Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel among his closest allies, remained in place, beaming and besuited.”

Reuters

The wax museum didn’t put away its effigy of Donald Trump in a storeroom or attempt to sell it, they dumped the monstrosity into a dumpster.

This action by the curators of the museum reflects their expectation that the incumbent will lose, and it also expresses their desire to spare their customers from looking at the likeness of the despised despot.

On Tuesday Americans will symbolically dump the short-fingered vulgarian into a dumpster, all signs point to a Joe Biden landslide. Our long national nightmare will soon be over, and I seriously doubt there will be any schools or public buildings named after him. I wish the crime boss was tossed into a dumpster and taken to a landfill.

Unfortunately, Trump isn’t the only one who should be thrown into a dumpster, his White House staff, the Republican senators and congresspeople who enabled him and the Fox News reporters who propped him up also belong in a landfill.

As well as the millions of white evangelicals who voted him into office, and have stood by him throughout his tenure chock full of racist and unchristian actions. A landfill full of garbage in the perfect place for the toxic message of white evangelicals. The rats and other vermin that thrive in landfills are the only creatures who just be exposed to the racist perverted Gospel message of evangelicals.

I beg my fellow Americans, please join me in taking out the garbage this Tuesday, and remember our work is not done until we get rid of the evangelical filth as well.

White Evangelical Pastors Vow to Defend Statues of White Surfer Dude Jesus

“A group of evangelical pastors gathered at Seattle’s CHOP zone earlier this week to pray and declare that they will defend houses of worship and statues of Jesus after activists called for tearing them down amid Black Lives Matter protests.”

Fox News
White evangelicals seem to be unfamiliar with the basic tenets of their faith, the first of the Ten Commandments prohibits making any statues of Jesus or any other heavenly being:

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

Evangelicals should be leading the charge to topple these graven images, the blond surfer dude Jesus statues are a sacrilegious abomination, a historical misrepresentation and an aesthetical nightmare.

But I’m not surprised that white evangelicals worship their white Jesus statues, after all they worship an orange anti-Christ.

The historical dark brown or black Jesus would be appalled at the spectacle of evangelicals defending these vile statues.

Instead of defending statues of Jesus, evangelicals should be defending the Gospel message of peace, unity and love. But if these reprobates embrace an amoral buffoon who is the antithesis of everything that the Bible teaches, I’m not surprised they are defending graven images.

Lo and Behold: God’s Anointed Trump Holds Up a Bible Outside a Church Fulfilling Scripture

Today I witnessed a holy scene that resonated with my white evangelical soul and reaffirmed my belief that Donald Trump is a humble servant of God and a mighty prophet anointed by the Almighty to Make America a Great White Nation Again.

After the President declared himself a “Law and Order President” in the Rose Garden and promised to restore order in our nation divided by Satan’s army of liberals, he mobilized the police and members of the military to clear out a peaceful protest by pacifists and snowflakes so he could make a pilgrimage to a nearby church.

The Lord gave the stable genius the wisdom to hold up a small Bible, God knows that our Dear Leader wouldn’t have been able to hold a giant Bible with his tiny hand without toppling over.

This heavenly photo-op made the angels in heaven rejoice and his saints below cream their paints in holy ecstasy. The stain in my groin area testifies to my righteousness and loyalty to God’s anointed.

This photo-op fulfills Scripture: Lo and behold the women’s moist undergarments and the men’s soiled white tighties testified that the Almighty had elevated a White Messiah to the greatest office in the land.

I’m compelled to state that is a satirical piece, because Trump’s white evangelical supporters are so freaking stupid.  In reality I’m a Latino who follows the teachings of Jesus Christ, and is horrified how Trump is making a mockery out of Christianity and destroying our democracy.

Trump is Wrong! White Evangelical Churches are as Essential as Soiled Underwear

“President Donald Trump said Friday that places of worship are essential and should open this weekend, threatening to override governors who have ordered churches, synagogues and mosques not to reopen in the coming days.

“Some governors have deemed liquor stores and abortion clinics as essential, but have left out churches and other houses of worship. It’s not right,” Trump said during impromptu remarks to reporters. ‘So I’m correcting this injustice and calling houses of worship essential. I call upon governors to allow our churches and places of worship to open right now.’”

NBC News

Some polls show that Donald Trump’s evangelical support is slipping, it’s not surprised that he felt compelled to personally read this proclamation from the White House Press Briefing Room.

Never mind that Trump has never considered houses of worship essential and the only times he attends church is on Christmas and Easter. Trump doesn’t have a history of donating money to build churches, but he has gone bankrupt building and operating casinos. The only buildings Trump finds essential are the one that bring in revenue for himself.

Never mind that Trump has no authority to override governors, it’s up to them to decide when places of worship and other buildings can open for business. Yes, I am implying that churches are places of business, no different than malls, and other revenue-producing businesses.

Never mind that most governors have relaxed their stay-at-home orders and most places of worship are already open subject to social distancing guidelines.

Never mind that evangelical megachurches are the very definition of non-essential enterprises, especially in the midst of a pandemic. These so-called houses of worship are spreading misinformation about the coronavirus and vehemently defending the commander-in-chief who has totally screwed up his response to the pandemic.

Evangelical churches are as essential as the buffoon false messiah they worship and we would be better off if these houses of Satan were closed during the pandemic.

Patriots, Including True Christians, Must Destroy Trump and His White Evangelical Followers

“Howard Stern claimed that President Trump actually despises his biggest supporters and the radio talk show host said he hates the people who voted for the commander-in-chief.

‘I don’t hate Donald,’ Stern said on his Sirius XM Radio show Tuesday, according to Newsweek. ‘I hate you for voting for him, for not having intelligence. For not being able to see what’s going on with the coronavirus, for not being able to see what the Justice Department is doing. I hate you, I don’t want you here.’”

New York Post

White evangelicals love and worship Donald Trump, their fealty and dedication to their false messiah is greater than their love for Jesus Christ.

Jesus has no love for white evangelicals who support Trump because they exalt and praise a short-fingered vulgarian whose speech, behavior and policies are diametrically opposed to his teachings.

And Trump has no love for white evangelicals, in fact he despises their stupidity, religiosity and family values.

When Trump takes a few days off he doesn’t seek the company of evangelicals, he goes to his golf resorts to fellowship with fellow millionaires and billionaires.

Jesus doesn’t commune with white evangelicals; he hates their hypocrisy and reprobate behavior. You won’t find the Spirit of Christ in evangelical megachurches, but you will find him in storefront churches where believers are thirsty for his Word.

Howard Stern may love Donald Trump but hate his followers, I hate Donald Trump and his followers.

It’s incumbent upon patriots, including true Christians, to kick Trump to the curb on November and to fight the racism, misogyny and intolerance of white evangelicals for the rest of their lives.

We Must Defeat Trump and His Evangelical Base

President Donald Trump crouched behind a podium to mock Michael Bloomberg’s stature on Saturday — drawing roaring laughter from the crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Maryland.

Trump was recounting the 5’7″ Democratic presidential candidate’s evisceration at his first debate in Las Vegas last week — specifically noting Elizabeth Warren’s sharp opening barbs directed at him.

New York Post

I will stipulate that billionaire Michael Bloomberg’s horrible debating skills elicit mockery and ridicule from even the kindest pundits and politicians.

Bit’s it’s Bloomberg’s charisma deficit and lack of rhetorical skills that make him a poor debaters, not his relatively short stature.

Leave it to the short-fingered vulgarian to take the low road, and crouch behind a podium to illustrate how the minuscule Mike appears when he’s on the stage debating.

The audience at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) erupted in laughter at Trump’s evil shenanigans, and need I remind you that God-fearing evangelicals were the majority at this gathering of far-right conservatives?

Trump knows his crowd well, and correctly surmised that the CPAC cultists thrive on humor that dehumanizes and ridicules anyone who isn’t a white born-again Christian.

Trump isn’t an aberration or an anomaly, he represents and is the standard bearer of white evangelicals who demonize, dehumanize and destroy liberals, feminists, minorities immigrants an everyone else who isn’t a white evangelical Christian.

It’s not enough to kick Trump out of office this November, we must expose and denounce white evangelicals until they are too afraid and embarrassed to publicly spout their religion-based bigotry.

Trump Rallies White Evangelicals by Expanding ‘Constitutional Prayer’ in Public Schools

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Matthew 6:5

President Donald Trump marked “Religious Freedom Day” by signing an executive order expanding “Constitutional prayer” in public schools, his latest effort to shore up his white evangelical base with the general election just months away.

This executive action is emblematic of his tenure in office for the following reasons:

It illustrates how Trump represents his base, and will do anything to appease them, while ignoring communities that didn’t vote for him.

It once again drives home the point that the king of the white evangelicals issues executive decrees instead of working with Congress to establish laws that will withstand judicial scrutiny.

It demonstrates how Trump loves photo ops where he signs an executive order that is sometimes unconstitutional, and sometimes unnecessary. Although the Supreme Court banned school-sponsored prayer in public schools in a 1962 decision because it violated the First Amendment students are allowed to meet and pray on school grounds.

As long as there are students who haven’t studied for a test, and students who are afraid that their crush won’t accept their invitation to the prom there will be prayer in public schools.

But white evangelicals want their children to pray loudly and openly in the name of Jesus, never mind the sensibilities of atheist, Muslim and Jewish students.

Finally, it shows us that Trump is cognizant that the stench of impeachment won’t dissipate before the general election, and he will take desperate measures to shore up his base.

Let’s Save Our Democracy and Defeat White Evangelicals and Their False Messiah Donald Trump

When he was a real estate mogul Donald Trump made political contributions to politicians of both parties but mainly Democrats, including liberal icons Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer.

Trump carefully cultivated an image as a playboy by dating movie stars, Playboy bunnies and porn stars.

Prior to Trump’s announcing his run for the presidency in 2015 no politician, theologian, or pundit would have predicted that he would be embraced by white evangelicals as their political savior.

In short, there was little in Trump’s decadent lifestyle to suggest that the real estate developer and reality TV star would enjoy a third career as the Republican champion of family values and religious liberty.

It’s 2020 and the morally degenerate and politically corrupt short-fingered vulgarian is embraced by white evangelicals more than ever, after three years of spewing vitriol on Twitter, making common cause with white nationalists, supporting dictators and generally acting like the antichrist.

Trump may have been a novice politician but he was a very cunning one and he realized that his surest path to the presidency was by cultivating an unholy alliance with white evangelicals. Other Republican politicians like Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush have won the presidency in no large part by pandering to the religious right, but Trump gave them more than just lip service. Trump is the evangelicals wet dream incarnate, he appointed two pro-life Supreme Court Justices, filled the federal courts with conservatives, surrounded himself with a God-fearing cabinet and gave Israel everything on their bucket list.

Is it any wonder that white evangelicals hail the morally repugnant Trump as God’s appointee on Earth and compare him to a Biblical king? Is it any wonder that Trump acts as if the Constitution doesn’t apply to him and he’s above the law, when he’s treated like a Messiah by his base?

Trump has been an out-of-control disaster in his first term, but if he survives impeachment and is re-elected, he will be vindicated and emboldened, and so uncontrollable that he may bring on Armageddon. It’s incumbent upon Americans of all political parties and all religions, including evangelicals who recognize Trump as an emissary of the devil, to save our democracy by doing everything in our power to defeat Trump. For God’s sake and our democracy’s sake vote for the Democratic presidential nominee in 2020.

Defending Trump Won’t Spark Revival in the Evangelical Movement, It Will Only Incur the Wrath of God

In a recent speech in Louisiana, President Donald Trump commended evangelicals for supporting him in the fraught contest over impeachment. He said church leaders were telling him that impeachment was fostering spiritual revival: ‘I got a call from the evangelical leaders the other day, a whole lot of them. They said the church has never been more energized as it is right now because of what they’re trying to do to our president,’ Trump said.”

The Dallas Morning News

Historically the Christian church has been revived when Christians renounce materialism and secularism, and return to the foundations of their faith: prayer, reading the Bible and proclaiming the Gospel.

There is never a political component to true revival, revival doesn’t emanate from Washington, D.C, but from churches, large and small, throughout the country returning to the basics of Christianity.

Anti-abortion judges appointed by the president, or laws bringing prayer back to school won’t spark revival. You can’t legislate morality or revival, revival is a spiritual manifestation, not a political movement.

The controversy over impeachment isn’t fostering a spiritual revival. Consider how absurd it is to argue that for Christians to defend a morally compromised, politically corrupt, racist, homophobic, greedy and serial sexual predator is going to foster spiritual revival in the American church.

If white evangelicals are serious about being spiritually energized, they will speak truth to power, and call upon Donald Trump to repent of his racism, xenophobia, misogyny, homophobia, corruption, and moral degeneracy.

Donald Trump to Evangelicals: ‘God is on our Side

Donald Trump is courting evangelicals following a scathing editorial in Christianity Today (CT).  The editor of the mainstream evangelical publication questioned whether evangelicals could justify supporting Trump given his grievous moral failings.

The CT essay is an aberration, the vast majority of white evangelicals are enthralled by their Orange Messiah, and Trump doesn’t have to worry about losing their support.

The short-fingered vulgarian is trying to expand his support beyond white evangelicals by speaking at a Hispanic megachurch in Florida, telling the congregation that “we have God on our side”.

The most successful con artists never doubt their ability to sell a bill of goods to anyone, and the amoral, greedy, serial sexual predator figures that if he was able to persuade white evangelicals that he’s the Second Coming, then he might even win over Hispanic evangelicals even though he’s blatantly anti-immigrant and anti-people of color.

Hispanic evangelicals who support the stable genius should be ostracized by real Christians and disowned by their Latino brothers and sisters.

Real Christians don’t worry whether or not the Almighty is on their side, they seek to be on God’s side by ministering to the prisoners, immigrants and the poor and homeless.

You don’t have to be a theologian to deduce that God isn’t on the side of Trump and his Republican sycophants. The enmity that Trump and white evangelicals harbor toward immigrants, people of color, and gays and Lesbians are anathema to the peace-loving, merciful and gracious Jesus of the Gospels.
