Eric Trump: ‘No One Has Done More for Christianity than Donald Trump’

So declared former President Donald Trump’s son Eric Trump at Freedom Fest in Morningview, Ky., Saturday, Sept. 10.

Donald Trump who attends church only on Easter and Christmas, and who has a penchant for holding the Bible upside down, and whose words and deeds are the antithesis of the teachings of Scripture, has indeed done a lot for Christianity.

The orange messiah has exposed the true nature of the evangelical church in America. It’s not a religious or spiritual movement, but a political and social endeavor.

White evangelicals don’t care about winning souls for Christ, they are too preoccupied with winning votes for Trump and his acolytes. They don’t care about turning this nation back to the moral teachings of the Bible, they’re concerned only with turning our fragile democracy into a White Christian Nationalist theocracy.

Trump has done a great service for true Christianity by exposing the xenophobia, racism, misogyny, homophobia and just plain ugliness of evangelical Christianity.

Evangelicals are as greedy, petty, vicious, and racist as their new savior, Donald Trump. I concur with Eric Trump, no one has done more for Christianity than Donald Trump. Thank you, Trump, for showing us the wickedness of evangelical Christianity.

Neither the fast-food giant nor I are assuming that Don is black, the @KANYEISMYDAD account features a profile pic of a black man. Speaking only for myself as a non-black person, I would never name my Twitter account “KANYEISMYDAD”, although I might use the “KANYEISMYUNCLETOM” handle.

The fast-food behemoth shouldn’t feed into the pervasive racial stereotype that black folks love them some spicy fried chicken,

Don may love spicy friend chicken and Kanye West, but not every black person loves fried spicy chicken, and a hell of a lot of African American hate the Trump-loving rapper.

Chick-fil-A should offer a fulsome apology to African Americans for tweeting “your community.” They should have tweeted:

Aaron Rodgers is Right: Trump Should Be a Fuc*ing Man and Admit He Lost

Future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers is a king on the gridiron, but he’s a court jester off the field, making a fool of himself as a conservative lightning rod. He frequently complains about the “woke mob” on the Pat McAfee Show and on Joe Rogan’s podcast, and he’s one of the most infamous unvaccinated athletes.

However, on Bill Maher’s “Club Random” podcast he finally uttered an intelligent thought. He made his thoughts on former President Donald Trump continuing to claim he won the 2002 election crystal clear:

“You lose sometimes. Be a fucking man and just own up like every other president has ever done.”

Rodgers is one the greatest quarterbacks in history, second only to Tom Brady, but he has suffered his share of tough losses in his career: two NFC title game losses and the upset loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the playoffs last season.

He knows what is means to pick yourself up after a devastating loss, and not make any excuses. Rodgers is spot on: Donald Trump should man up, put on his big boy diapers and finally admit that he lost in an electoral college and popular vote landslide to Joe Biden.

Cynical Republican Candidates Shift Position on Abortion as General Election Approaches

For decades evangelicals were on a mission from God to overturn Roe v Wade, and when the Supreme Court in the Dobbs vs. Jackson ruling held that abortion was not a protected right under the Constitution, overturning Roe, they erupted in jubilation.

For decades Republican politicians have railed against abortion in an effort to solidify their support with their evangelical base. They didn’t exactly praise the Lord and break out the champagne when Roe was overturned.

The fact is that Roe enjoyed wide support among most of the electorate, including many non-evangelical Republicans, and the banning of abortion is the worst thing that could have happened to the GOP.

Republican candidates across the country are shifting their position on abortion. They know how to read the political tea leaves and have moderated their position on abortion as they pivot from primaries to the general election.

Republican candidates who condemned a woman’s right to choose with evangelical zeal in the primaries have all of a sudden discovered nuance and compromise as they face off against their Democratic opponents in the general election.

Republican politicians were terrified when voters in Kansas overwhelmingly decided to keep abortion protections in their state’s constitution and a few weeks later, a House candidate in upstate New York won a special election in a competitive district by making abortion the top issue of his campaign.  

As the midterms quickly approach, I hope voters aren’t fooled by the Republicans’ shifting position on abortion born out of political expediency. If you believe in choice, vote blue this November.

For a United States senator to quote from a holy book, is unseemly at best an undemocratic at worst. I don’t care if an elected official considers the Bible, the Koran or the Vedas the word of God, I care only that they consider the Constitution the supreme law of humans.

I consider any scripture uttered by a politician in his official role execrable rubbish, unworthy of being praised.

The voters don’t hate Marco Rubio on account of his spiritual devotion to the Son of Man, but on account of his slavish devotion to Donald Trump.

Rubio, like most evangelicals, care only about members of their own religion expressing nothing but contempt for immigrants, minorities, gays and lesbians, progressives and liberals and anyone else who doesn’t subscribe to their Neanderthal beliefs, and then they have the gall to complain that people hate them on account of their faith.

If Rubio distanced himself from Trump and his racist, undemocratic, misogynist and homophobic views, he wouldn’t be so reviled regardless if he was a follower of Jesus, Buddha or the Prophet Muhammad.

White Evangelicals Are Toxic

White evangelicals’ obsession with Donald Trump has tarnished their reputation beyond salvation. Pre-Trump when evangelicals said grace before eating their meal in a table near us in a restaurant, we just looked at them askance and resumed eating our meals. Now when evangelicals congregate near us in any public setting, we are wont to make a sign of the cross and move far, far away. Simply put, they are toxic.

Evangelical morality is expressly repudiated by the general public, and they are seen as an existential threat to Christianity and democracy. Religious folks of all stripes and the non-religious give them a wide berth.

Evangelicals are cognizant that they are reviled and you’d think they would retreat to their own closed-off enclaves to wait for the rapture.

Instead, they are up on our grill preaching the Gospel of Trump and on a mission from Satan to turn our democracy into a White Christian Nationalist state.

I should copy the modus operandi of evangelicals and pass out tracts with a copy of this essay, and whenever an evangelical starts to spout some MAGA nonsense I can just give him one of my tracts.

The Real Pedophiles Are in Trump’s GOP & Evangelical Church Not the Democratic Pary

QAnon cultist and white evangelicals are incestuous cousins and they share many of the same absurd beliefs, and they are always accusing Democratic politicians and Hollywood celebrities of pedophilia.

Although they have no problem embracing evangelical/conservative genuine pedophiles like Matt Gaetz and Roy Moore.

Evangelicals are masters of projection; their ranks are infested with pedophiles and men who sexually abuse women and girls.  The sexualization and grooming of teenage girls into early marriage and pregnancy is common in evangelical and fundamentalist circles.

Pedophilia is rampant is patriarchal organizations like the Roman Catholic Church and the Southern Baptist Convention. Evangelicals believe in the same mantra as pimps, “Pimps up, Ho’s down”, although they would phrase it using theological words.

The ideal evangelical woman is married, pregnant, busy in the kitchen and leaves home only to shop for groceries and to attend church.

Evangelical Republicans have an anti-women agenda, and they aren’t content with overturning Roe, contraceptive justice and same-sex marriage are in their gun sights.

Its’ imperative for citizens who love freedom and democracy, regardless if they are mainline Protestants, progressive Catholics, or atheists to come together to defeat the anti-female, anti-democratic evangelical movement.

Biden’s Philadelphia Speech Interrupted by Pro-Trump Hecklers

Donald Trump stump speeches are so inflammatory, fiery and chock full of racist dog whistles, that any audience member with a shred of decency and integrity is almost compelled to heckle him.

During Trump’s two presidential runs he was often heckled, and he always responded by threatening hecklers with violence.

During last night’s speech about protecting democracy against Trump and his MAGA followers, Biden was frequently interrupted with cries of “Fuck Joe Biden” and “Let’s go Brandon”, a more polite way of expressing the same hateful sentiment.

President Joe Biden answered hecklers by reminding everyone that profane and obnoxious critics have their place, too. “They’re entitled to be outrageous, he said. “This is a democracy.”

The hecklers interrupting Biden’s speech with obscenities proved the premise of his speech that Trump’s MAGA supporters are unhinged and dangerous.

And Biden’s response proved that he understands that in a democracy even boorish hecklers are tolerated and not threatened with violence.

If the choice in 2024 is once again Trump vs Biden, anyone who heard the president’s speech last night knows that a vote for Biden is a vote for democracy and a vote for Trump is a vote for tyranny.

Re: Abortion, God’s not in the Equation, Argue in Favor of a Woman’s Autonomy Over Her Own Body Appealing to Logic & the Law

The draconian anti-choice laws in red states are dangerous, cruel, unconstitutional and anathema in a democracy.

When defending the right of a woman to have sovereignty over her own body, God should not be in the equation.  We should argue in favor of a woman having autonomy over her own body citing the Constitution and appealing to our common humanity.

However, when evangelicals lie by stating abortion is against the Bible, it’s incumbent upon progressive evangelicals and rational Catholics to argue the following:

Forcing a 10-year-old girl who became pregnant as a result of rape to drive across state lines to get an abortion is a sin.

Forcing a woman who is pregnant with a fetus missing a skull to travel to another state to get an abortion is a sin.

Forcing poor women to risk getting fired by taking unapproved time off from work to travel to another state to get an abortion is a sin.

Forcing financially, psychologically or medically unprepared women to give birth is a sin.  

WWJD? Jesus would tell Republican men to stop being assholes, and to stop treating women as second-class citizens incapable of making decisions for themselves.

America is a democracy and not a theocracy, and women can make the hard choices relating to their own bodies; pontificating preachers and pandering politicians can just shut the hell up.

President Joe Biden’s move to forgive between $10,000 and $20,000 of student loan debt for borrowers making less than $125,000 a year elicited howls of criticism from all Republicans, most economists and even some Democrats. It wasn’t the grand slam home run that he was expecting, it turns out even Democrats don’t like the president playing Santa Claus with their money in the middle of raging inflation and a recession.

If Biden wants to get back into good graces with his base, he would be well-advised to listen to Lt. Gov. John Fetterman and take steps to legalize marijuana on a federal level.

Although the President cannot directly remove marijuana from control under federal controlled substances law, he can order executive agencies to consider either altering the scheduling of marijuana or changing their enforcement approach.

If the 79-year-old Biden wants to look less like a “get off my lawn” grouchy old man, and more like the 89-year-old “got some grass?” affable Willy Nelson he needs to get with the legalize weed program.

If Biden makes a serious effort to legalize cannabis, I might overlook the fact that he’s too damn old to be president, and vote for his reelection.

Pew Research: The Better Americans Know Evangelicals, the Less They Like Them

The more I know about Muslims, Hindus or other religions the more I like them; exposure to people of different belief systems makes me realize that their nomenclature might be different but the ideas that most religions espouse (the golden rule, justice, peace & love) are universal.

White evangelical Christians are the exception to this rule, the more people learn about them the more they hate them. In the Trump era we have learned the depth of the depravity, hypocrisy and sociopathic tendencies of evangelicals.

White evangelicals have substituted the merciful and loving Jesus Christ for the vengeful and hateful Donald Trump, and as a consequence we hate them as vehemently as we hate the stinking pile of human shit known as Donald Trump.

Evangelicals like to say, “hate the sin, but love the sinner”, but evangelicals are sin personified, and I hate everything about them.

You’d think churches that ignore this law would do so only by urging their congregations to pray for the candidates they endorse. After all, evangelicals claim to believe in the power of prayers to move mountains. Evidently evangelicals secretly concur with most of us that “thoughts and prayers” are as efficacious as belches and farts.

There’s something wrong in Denmark when a church provides unprofessional armed security for a Christian nationalist candidate for governor.

This evangelical security team is ostensibly protecting Mastriano from physical harm, but their main role seems to be preventing the mainstream press from gaining entry to his campaign events.

Mastriano is representative of evangelicals who scoff at the laws of our country, and are determined to achieve their fascist objectives my any means necessary. Louisiana Woman Denied Abortion Despite Fetus Missing Skull

Anti-abortion activists see women as birthing machines, and their motto in a world with 8 billion souls is “be fruitful and multiply.” This slogan made sense at the dawn of humanity when large families were essential for the survival of the species, but it makes no sense in an overpopulated world.

The draconian abortion laws in red states are devoid of compassion, common sense and wisdom. Cruelty, humiliation and punishment is the objective whenever a woman claims sovereignty over her own body and seeks an abortion in one of these godforsaken states.

Democrats Will Keep Control of the Senate Thanks to Trump Endorsed Crazy Candidates

When Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was asked about his projection for the 2022 election, he made news by telling the truth:

“I think there’s probably a greater likelihood the House flips than the Senate. Senate races are just different — they’re statewide, candidate quality has a lot to do with the outcome.”

I give McConnell credit for telling the truth, but being a politician, he had an ulterior motive: to stir Republicans who are expecting a Red Tide in the mid-terms out of their complacency.

The party that controls the White House almost always loses seats in the mid-terms, especially when inflation is out of control. The Republicans will almost certainly regain control of the House, but they will probably fail to recapture the Senate because of the “quality” of some of their candidates.

McConnell’s truthful assessment of the quickly approaching mid-term elections was a subtle dig at Donald Trump, he is the one responsible for the dismal quality of the GOP’s senatorial candidates.

Consider the quality of these Trump endorsed candidates:

In Georgia Herschel Walker, who has a split personality, the IQ of a wilted head of cabbage and zero experience as a politician is running against the highly respected Rev. Raphael Warnock.

In Pennsylvania the carpetbagger and quack Dr. Oz is running against the wildly popular Lt. Governor John Fetterman.

In Ohio the author and neophyte politician J.D. Vance, who believes that women shouldn’t divorce their violent husbands, is running against long-time congressman Tim Ryan.

In Arizona Blake Masters who believes that Joe Biden should be impeached and simps over Unabomber Ted Kaczynski, is running against incumbent Democrat Mark Kelly.

In 2020 Republicans lost control of the Senate thanks to Trump discouraging them from voting in Georgia, and in 2022 Democrats will keep control of the Senate thanks to Trump endorsing batshit crazy candidates.

If you interpret the Bible or any other holy book to mean that God condemns sex outside of marriage, same-sex love, masturbation and abortion, then don’t engage in any of those activities, and don’t worry what anybody else is doing or not doing. One person’s sin is another person’s pursuit of happiness and fulfillment.

We can now add Donald Trump to the Hall of Fame of Evil. When he was soundly rejected by the electorate after a tenure marked by racism, pettiness, incompetence, treachery, authoritarianism and all-around fuckery he attempted a coup to remain in power. He destroyed the GOP, and almost overthrew our democracy, and if he regains power America is doomed.

Stephen King is spot-on. Donald Trump was a horrible president and is a horrible person. He is a sociopath, an insurrectionist, and a tyrant, and God damn to hell anyone who tries to make excuses for his egregious behavior.

The only stance that is acceptable in relation to Trump is to be a Never Trumper, everyone else can rot in hell.

But now the controversial ritual is also common in Pentecostal and Charismatic churches not only in rural areas and the inner city, but also in middle class and upscale neighborhoods.

In fact, a quarter of American Evangelicals from all denominations say they have spoken in tongues at some point in their life.

The devout speak in tongues when they are “filled with the Spirt” otherwise known as being in a self-induced trance. Although there are some congregants who speak in tongues, otherwise known as speaking gibberish, just to fit in.

If millions of American evangelicals speak gibberish when filled with the Spirit is it any wonder that they spew batshit crazy conspiracy theories that amount to nothing more than gibberish under the thrall of their Lord and Savior Donald Trump?

Democratic Leaders Must Privately Beg Biden Not to Run for Reelection

Being an air traffic controller is one of the most stressful occupations in the world. Controllers are responsible for the movement and direction of thousands of lives onboard commercial and general aviation aircraft every day. Controllers usually manage multiple aircraft at the same time and make quick decisions, and if they make a wrong decision due to fatigue, inattention, distraction or slow reflexes, hundreds of passengers can die. It’s no wonder that the mandatory retirement age for controllers is 56.

The president of the United States has the most stressful job in the world, he must keep on top of multiple international and domestic crises at the same time. He is commander-in-chief and Leader of the Free World and the weight of the world lies on his shoulders. Unbelievably there isn’t a mandatory retirement age for the president.

That’s why our democracy finds itself in its current predicament, the president is visibly physically frail and is showing alarming signs of cognitive decline. Perhaps, the greatest evidence that he’s out of his mind is that he’s planning on running for reelection.

Joe Biden is too old to be president. Period. End of story. Biden is 79, and his case 79 isn’t the new 59, it’s lucky to still be alive.

The president’s physician calling Biden a “healthy, vigorous 78-year-old male.” Are you freaking kidding me? A healthy and vigorous person doesn’t look like a skeleton, doesn’t try to shake hands with invisible people and doesn’t have a penchant for falling off bicycles and falling down stairs.

With his diminished mental acuity, I don’t expect Biden to realize that he’s too old to run for reelection, but I do expect his aides and Democratic leaders to privately beg him not to run for reelection.

Evangelical Church Under Fire for Unathorized Production of ‘Hamilton’ Musical

The musical Hamilton follows the remarkable life story of Alexander Hamilton, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. Its creator and star, Lin-Manuel Miranda, makes history relevant and exciting by using rap music and lyrics that resonates with today’s audience.

Hamilton opening on London in December 2017 and it’s still selling out on Broadway.

 The evangelical Door Church in McAllen, Texas, mounted an illegal production of Hamilton, the pastor Roman Gutierrez claimed that their production was sanctioned and licensed by the Hamilton team.

What could possibly go wrong, right?

First of all, Lin-Manuel Miranda did not give the church the license or his blessing to mount their own production. The pastor, like his Lord and Savior Donald Trump, is a lying piece of shit.

The church’s blasphemous production removes explicit language and references to sex and replaces it with dialogue about how great and marvelous Jesus is, and how awful and sinful gays are.

I hope this god-awful church doesn’t perform Hamlet. In their telling Hamlet sees the Holy Ghost, and He commands him to stop dithering. To be or not to be? Of course, he should be a born-again Christian.

Befuddled Biden Struggles to Put on His Jacket

A video, posted to Twitter by the verified account “RNC Research” depicts the septuagenarian President Joe Biden desperately struggling to put on his jacket for an interminable 43 seconds, and then to add insult to insult, the bumbling Leader of the Free World, drops his signature aviator glasses.

I get that Biden had just stepped off Marine One, and he had to contend with the wind generated by the helicopter’s blade, but if it takes him almost a minute to figure out how to put on his jacket, that’s a sign of cognitive decline.

Not to mention that Biden needed the help of his longsuffering wife to put on his damn jacket. Makes you wonder if the first lady helps him put on his pants in the morning.

Biden was wearing a mask, and that’s just one too many things for the befuddled Biden to juggle at one time. Mask, sunglasses, jacket, something had to give.

Trump Complained U.S. Generals Lacked the Loyalty German Generals Showed Hitler

“Former President Donald Trump had a contentious relationship with U.S. military leadership and a shallow grasp of military values and 20th century history, according to an excerpt of a new book, The Divider, published Monday in The New Yorker. One of the more memorable anecdotes veteran reporters Peter Baker and Susan Glasser recount in their book involves a conversation Trump had with his chief of staff John Kelly, a retired Marine general.

‘You f—ing generals, why can’t you be like the German generals?’ Trump reportedly asked Kelly. When Kelly asked which generals he meant, Trump said, ‘The German generals in World War II,’ the book recounts. Kelly asked Trump, ‘You do know that they tried to kill Hitler three times and almost pulled it off?’ And Trump apparently didn’t believe him, responding, ‘No, no, no, they were totally loyal to him.’”

Donald Trump is often compared to a mafia godfather, but a more accurate comparison would be to a dictator. During his scandal-plagued tenure Trump demonstrated an affinity for dictators and often showered them with praise.

When he was commander-in-chief Trump often said “my generals” and “my military”, suggesting that he considered the military his own private militia.

I’m not surprised Trump told his then chief of staff John Kelly, a retired Marine general:

‘You fucking generals, why can’t you be like the German generals?’

Trump expected American generals to be as loyal as the German general were to Adolph Hitler. Trump saw himself as a Hitler figure and he expected undying loyalty from the generals.

When Kelly informed Trump that Hitler’s generals plotted to assassinate him, he scoffed at the idea. Trump is no historian and he has his own version of reality, and in his demented mind Hitler’s generals would never turn against him.

Our democracy will not survive if a monster who fails to learn any lessons from history, and who dismisses the Constitution, and who patterns himself after dictators returns to the White House.

Trump Flushed Presidential Documents Down White House Toilet

“On Monday, Axios published photos of folded-up paper, marked with Trump’s telltale handwriting, using his favored pen, a Sharpie, submerged at the bottom of various toilet bowls.

The photographs were released in advance of the publication of Confidence Man, a book by the Trump White House correspondent for the New York Times, Maggie Haberman, set for October.”

Now we know why Trump in 2019 complained that Americans are flushing their toilets “10 times, 15 times, as opposed to once” in a rant against low-flush sinks and toilets. 

I only need to flush my toilet once, or at the most twice, after defecating, but unlike Trump I’m not full of shit and I don’t use my toilet as a paper shredder.

In principle I agree that the documents produced by the simpleton Trump deserve to be flushed down the toilet, starting with his absurd Sharpie-altered hurricane map and all of his executive orders.

But flushing presidential documents down the toilet is a clear violation of the Presidential Records Act, and it’s just one more reason why Trump should be indicted and convicted.

If only Trump could be flushed down the toilet.

Dick Cheney Calls Donald Trump a ‘Coward’ in Ad for Liz Cheney

Dick Cheney, the Darth Vader of the GOP’s Freedom Agenda, sought to export democracy to Muslim theocracies by bombing them back to the stone age. Praise the Lord and pass me the weapons that shock and awe.

Even this dark lord is shocked by the duplicity, stupidity, and treasonous nature of Donald Trump.

Dick Cheney blasted Trump in a new campaign ad for his daughter, Liz Cheney, who is running for re-election in Wyoming:

“In our nation’s 236-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump. He tried to steal the last election using lies and violence to keep himself in power after the voters had rejected him. He is a coward. A real man wouldn’t lie to his supporters. He lost his election, and he lost big. I know it, he knows it, and deep down I think most Republicans know it.”

There’s some shock and awe for you, but it will take more than these blistering words of condemnation, to open the eyes of the MAGA faithful.

Liz Cheney, the vice-chairwoman of the House select committee investigating the January 6 insurrection, has been one of Trump’s most vehement critics, accusing him of violating the constitution for his role in the insurrection.

Unfortunately, Cheney will most likely lose her reelection battle against the Trump-endorsed, Big Lie proponent Harriet Hageman.

Liz Cheney will lose her battle against Hageman, but hopefully she will win the war and the findings of the January 6 commission will lead to the indictment and conviction of Donald Trump.

Rep. Carolyn Maloney Apologizes for Saying She Doesn’t Think Joe Biden Will Run for Reelection

“On Tuesday night, Maloney appeared with her two rivals for New York’s 12th Congressional District for a debate hosted by NY1 and WNYC. During a lightning round, Maloney, Rep. Jerry Nadler and Suraj Patel were all asked if Biden should run in 2024.

‘I don’t believe he’s running for reelection,’ Maloney said.”

During a lightning round portion of a debate a candidate is pressured into providing more truthful and less nuanced answers. Rep. Maloney was honest in expressing a belief that a 79-year-old president, in obvious cognitive decline, wasn’t going to run for reelection.

If Biden was asked in a lighting round session of a debate “how would you defend Taiwan if China invaded the island nation?”, I wouldn’t be surprised if the cognitively-challenged septuagenarian answered, “I would make Corn Pop an admiral, he wouldn’t need more than a tugboat to save Taiwan, because he’s a bad dude.”

On Thursday, Maloney offered the following apology, demonstrating once again why citizens despise wishy washy politicians:

“Mr. President, I apologize. I want you to run. You are a great president and thank you for everything you’ve done for my state and all the states and all the cities in America.”

Maloney had nothing to apologize about, it’s reasonable to believe that a senile president with approval ratings in the 30’s shouldn’t run for reelection.

Maloney apologized only because she wants the full backing of the Democrat Party in her own reelection effort.
