Donald Trump does not have a conservative ideology or political philosophy that informs his policies and speeches, and he is not interested in pressuring Congress in enacting a legislative agenda that aligns with a traditional Republican platform.

Trump’s agenda is burnishing his brand and exploiting his office for financial gain. Trumpism permeates every aspect of his administration. He has populated his Cabinet with sycophants who are members of his evangelical cult.

The leader of this cult is Donald Trump and not Jesus Christ, and their motto is not “do unto others as you would have them do unto you” but screw others before they screw you.”

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is one of these MAGA Christians, his public profession of faith in Jesus Christ is in direct contradiction to his boozing, womanizing and predatory nature.

In a move that bulldozed the separation between Church and State, he hosted an evangelical prayer service at the Pentagon. The event was called the “Secretary of Defense Christian Prayer and Worship Service. It was broadcast throughout the building on its internal cable network.

Can you imagine the outcry if a Defense Secretary held a Muslim Prayer and Worship Service or a Wiccan Prayer and Casting Spells Service?

Standing behind a podium bearing the logo of the Defense Department, Hegseth declared that “this is precisely where I need to be, exactly where we need to be as a nation, at this moment in prayer, on bended knee, recognizing the providence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

In a church pulpit Hegseth is free to recognize the “providence of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ”, but when he’s standing behind a podium bearing the logo of the Defense Department, he should be recognizing the authority of the Constitution of the United States.  

What a hypocrite, we all know that Hegseth would rather be at a bar, guzzling beer, harassing the female bartenders and toasting his real Lord and Savior, Donald Trump.
