Don’t Ignore Boomers

Young people are often naturally expressive: they may speak loudly, dress boldly, and play music at high volume, often unaware that older people may find it overwhelming.

Young folks yearn to be seen, and they use social media to amplify their dreams, hobbies and even the banal activities of their everyday life.

Boomers have already made their mark on life, for good or ill, and they are not as desperate as millennials and Gen Zers to convince their friends and family and society at large that they are with the “in crowd.”

But we do not want to be ignored or overlooked; feeling unwanted often makes us feel invisible and pushed into the background.

We may have stopped caring about trying to look youthful or fashionable, but that does not mean we have given up on life, and we still want to be an integral part of society.

We are not a faceless group; we are unique individuals who simply desire to be recognized and treated with respect.
