Joe Biden is a statesman who has restored dignity to the White House and respect for America, his presidency is a worthy last act of a long and distinguished political career. But to say he’s long in the tooth is an understatement, he’s too physically and mentally impaired to run for reelection.

Vice president Kamala Harris ran a dismal presidential campaign in 2020, and Biden saved her political career by making her his running mate. She has proven to be totally ineffectual as vice president, her default response to any tough question is to cackle uncontrollably like a witch, a Hilly Clinton impersonator or a nut who should be locked up in a mental asylum.

If Joe Biden or Kamala Harris is the Democratic standard bearer in 2024, Donald Trump will once again be the president of the United States.

How can we avoid the unmitigated disaster of a second Trump term? Can you say “Michelle Obama”?

The former first lady is charismatic, articulate and immensely popular, Trump wouldn’t have a chance running against her.

A measure of her popularity is the astounding success of her autobiography “Becoming” which sold 14 million copies worldwide.

I know that first we have to concentrate on keeping the House and the Senate blue in the midterms, but it’s not too early to start pleading with Michelle Obama to run in 2024,

Evangelicals Have Shown Their True Colors, They Love Putin and Dictatorships More Than They Love Jesus and Democracy

I became an evangelical in the 1970’s and at that time the major tenets of evangelicalism were the belief in the inerrancy and infallibility of the Bible, the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the conviction that the Soviet Union, and later Russia, was anti-American, anti-Christ and an existential threat to democracy and Christianity.

Russia played a major role in evangelical eschatology; Russia and the anti-Christ would battle with Jesus and his angels in the final battle of Armageddon.

Republican politicians demonized liberals as commie-loving traitors who were undermining democracy.

How things have changed, the script flipped during the dictator-loving Trump administration. Republicans and many evangelicals laud the homophobic Vladimir Putin as a patriotic leader who is fighting for the survival of Christian values.

At this crucial juncture in history when Putin has invaded Ukraine and the fate of Eastern Europe hangs in the balance, Republicans and white evangelicals are heaping praise on the courage and genius of Putin.

Evangelicals have shown their true colors, they value white authoritarian regimes more than democracy and freedom.

White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates was none too subtle in his condemnation of Donald Trump for heaping praise on Russian President Vladimir Putin.

When discussing tyrants like Putin and Trump, it is prudent and indeed commendable to refer to them using the coarsest language.

Trump’s first line of attack is to ridicule an opponent’s physical appearance, and that’s why I have no reservations mocking his grotesque physical presence.

Bates was spot on in his description of Trump as a “nauseating, fearful pig.” Beady eyes, double chin, snout that resembles a sphincter and orange hue, don’t tell me that’s not an accurate description of a sow’s head.

The rest of Trump’s body parts also resemble that of a hog: fat belly, huge ass, and of course his tiny hands that are as small as the hoofs of a piglet.

Trump not only looks like a porker, he acts like a porker, witness his penchant for wrestling in the mud in politics.

Trump is a filthy swine. Period.   

Trump Praises Putin’s Aggression as ‘Wonderful’ and ‘Genius’

While Putin was scorned by US President Joe Biden and other western leaders, Trump was full of praise for his ‘best friend.’

During an interview on a right-wing radio programme, The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show, Trump said it was ‘wonderful,’ ‘so smart,’ and even ‘genius’ for Putin to “declare a large portion of Ukraine as independent.”

None of us who witnessed President Donald Trump siding with Russia against the FBI at the Helsinki summit were surprised by his fawning praise of the Russian dictator’s invasion of Ukraine.

Nobody who loves democracy and hates tyranny thinks it was wonderful, smart and genius for Putin to declare a large portion of Ukraine as independent.

No peace-loving American would accept Putin’s Orwellian description of his invading force as “peacekeepers.” “That’s the strongest peace force I’ve ever seen. They’re gonna keep the peace all right”, gushed the twice-impeached former president.

Trump doesn’t care that his words will embolden the authoritarian Putin, and that his ebullient praise will be used as propaganda. He doesn’t care about what’s in the best interest of America and democracy, he only seeks to “own the libs” and to denigrate Joe Biden.

Republicans who once accused liberals as commie-loving traitors, now rejoice in Trump’s approval of Putin’s invasion of a democratic state. Ronald Reagan is turning over in his grave.

White Evangelicals Double Down on Crazy

Evangelicalism has crazy baked in the cake, when you profess to believe that the Bible is the inerrant and infallible Word of God you are constrained to accept as literal truths such crazy notions like millions of animal species fitting into an ark, a donkey talking to a prophet, and the sun standing still for an entire day.

American evangelicals are masters at compartmentalizing, they keep the crazy stuff for Sunday morning, but live in the real world the rest of the week.

Until fairly recently that is, now white evangelicals are doubling down on crazy, and their default mode is crazy not just on Sunday, but every day of the week.

This unfortunate development can be attributed to the fact that they have rejected the kind, rational and peaceful Jesus Christ for their stark raving mad new messiah, Donald Trump.

You want examples of crazy: Evangelical ministers preaching that COVID-19 is a hoax, and fighting against masks and vaccine mandates.  Prophets declaring that Trump won the 2020 election, and calling for a military coup to reinstall their savior. Rank and file evangelicals accepting as Gospel truth crazy QAnon conspiracy theories.

Cult members strive to be like their Dear Leader, and when Donald Trump is your Lord and Master you really have to amp up the craziness.

If America is to survive a secular democracy, we must flush Trump and his crazy followers down the toilet.

Dirtbag Franklin Graham Criticized for Urging Followers to Pray for Putin

Franklin Graham has been lambasted for writing “Pray for President Putin today.” Graham deserves scorn and ridicule to be heaped on him for his slavish devotion to the morally reprehensible Donald Trump, but let’s not take his words out of context.

The Trump-loving televangelist is praying for God to change Putin’s mind so that he won’t attack Ukraine.

Graham’s prayers are as efficacious as farts, their stench won’t reach the heavens, they will only serve to irritate those of us unfortunate to be around the gasbag.

In general, thoughts and prayers are as effective as belches and farts, they are no replacement for action.

Don’t be like Franklin Graham, and recite a grandiose peace prayer, and then sit on your ass as if you’ve done all you can.

Be a peace warrior! A peace activist doesn’t pray, and leave it all in the hands of the Almighty. He fights for peace by demonstrating, writing editorials and sending emails to politicians imploring them to do everything possible to avoid war.

GOP Georgia Gubernatorial Candidate Kandiss Taylor Has a Winning Slogan: ‘JESUS GUNS BABIES’

The Georgia governor’s race is one of the most competitive races of the mid term elections. The leading Republican candidates are Brian Kemp, the incumbent governor of Georgia and David Perdue, the former Georgia senator.

Kemp has the power of incumbency and Perdue has the all-important Donald Trump endorsement, the only way that Kandiss Taylor can compete with the likes of Kemp and Perdue is by doing or saying something outrageous.

Bingo!

Kandiss’ campaign bus has the words “JESUS GUNS BABIES” emblazoned on its side.

The JESUS GUNS BABIES slogan doesn’t take into account today’s grammatically-challenged MAGA voters. They will interpret this slogan to mean that Jesus shoots children, and they will visualize the Savior gunning down Mexican and other brown immigrant children crossing the border.

If Kandiss wants to win she shouldn’t change the slogan to “Jesus, Guns, and Babies”, this may just be a winning slogan in the racist state of Georgia.

White Evangelicals Should Stop Calling Themselves ‘Christians’! Satanists Are More Christ-Like Than They Are

I became an evangelical Christian in the late 1970’s and at that time evangelicalism was synonymous with spreading the Good News that Jesus saves. Being a good evangelical Christian meant attending church on Sunday, and trying to shun worldly attractions the rest of the week. We truly lived by the motto “WWJD”? We would ask ourselves “What would Jesus Do” before deciding what movies to watch, what books to read, what social activities to attend, what radio stations to listen to, and even what clothes to wear. In short, the evangelical experience was all about Jesus.

Now? Not so much. Evangelicals still claim to follow Jesus, but truth be told, they really don’t give a fuck about Jesus anymore. At least not by judging what they spend all their time doing:

Researching conspiracy theories online, attending MAGA rallies that glorify their new Messiah, Donald Trump. Spreading the Big Lie that Trump won the election. Demonizing gays and lesbians, and hating on racial and religious minorities. Disseminating anti-vaccine pseudoscience and spreading the virus by refusing to mask up, social distance and getting vaccinated.

If evangelicals had a shred of integrity, they would stop calling themselves Christians, if you want to associate with people who are really Christ-like I suggest you attend a Church of Satan, an anti-war rally or a pro-choice demonstration.

Joe Biden Shares Sweet Valentine’s Day Message for His Wife, ‘Jilly’

President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr Jill Biden have been married for 44 years, but the spark between these sexy septuagenarians hasn’t diminished over the years.

Smooth Joe had a sweet Valentine’s Day message for his sultry spouse. The 79-year-old Romeo posted a throwback pic of himself and his wife, 70, sitting on a beach when they were young and madly in love. The caption read:

“You’re the love of my life and the life of my love, Jilly.”

How sweet, and it’s even sweeter that these lovebirds still love to walk on the beach, holding hands.

Can you imagine Donald Trump posting a sweet Valentine’s Day message for his trophy wife? Can you imagine him having an endearing nickname for her?

I can imagine him posting a throwback pic of his wife wearing a thong on a beach with a caption reading: “You’re the fantasy of my life, and I still enjoy tapping your tight ass, Hottie.”

Roe v Wade Will Be Overturned, But It Will Be a Pyrrhic Victory for Evangelicals

Starting in the 70’s, under the leadership of Jerry Falwell and his Moral Majority, evangelicals made overturning Roe v Wade their primary objective.       

In late spring or early summer, the Supreme Court will likely ban abortion or at least severely curtail the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision.

Why are we on the verge of such a catastrophe? To recap:

Merrick Garland was nominated by Barack Obama to fill the 2016 vacancy on the Supreme Court created by the death that February of Justice Antonin Scalia, a conservative judicial icon. Then Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) declared any appointment by the sitting president to be null and void, arguing against precedent and common sense that the next Supreme Court justice should be chosen by the next president.

Donald Trump then stacked the Supreme Court with stalworth conservatives Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett, and conservatives now hold a 6-3 super majority.

It will turn out to be a Pyrrhic victory for evangelicals, for the following reasons:

Blue states will continue to offer abortion services, and women in red states will travel to blue states to terminate their pregnancies. It’s only poor women who can’t afford to travel out of state or to take time off who will be disadvantaged. Evangelical parents will secretly drive their daughters across state lines for abortions.

Abortion pills exist, and they will only become more readily available when Roe v. Wade is overturned.

If Roe v Wade is overturned it will galvanize liberal voters, and they will turn out in droves in the midterms and subsequent elections. Most Americans are in favor of choice and overturning Roe will be hugely unpopular, and Republicans will pay the price at the ballot box, and evangelicals will pay the price evidenced by empty church pews.

Rep. Nancy Mace Pledges Devotion to Trump One Day After He Endorsed Her Opponent

Former President Donald Trump is the most physically repulsive politician in American history, he makes the homely Abraham Lincoln look like Brad Pitt.

A Hollywood special effects artist couldn’t create a more loathsome and hideous monster. If I saw Trump with his double chin, racoon eyes, sphincter-shaped mouth and urine colored hair walking toward me, I would make the sign of the cross and run away.

Based on his grotesque physical appearance alone, I wouldn’t feel compelled to show the twice-impeached former president any sign of respect.

When you couple his ugly physical appearance with his moral depravity, Trump would be the last person on Earth I would ever treat with respect or deference.

Then when you consider the fact that Trump demands loyalty but doesn’t reciprocate, and treats everyone like crap, you would have to question the sanity of anyone who praises Trump.

Yet there’s legions of Republicans whom Trump has mocked, taunted and dehumanized who now treat him like the Second Coming of Christ. Take Ted Cruz for example, during the 2016 presidential campaign Trump insinuated that his wife was ugly and accused his father of being involved in the conspiracy to assassinate JFK. Now Cruz never misses an opportunity to debase himself in service to Trump.

The latest example is congresswoman Nancy Mace who filmed a video praising Trump outside Trump Tower one day after the former president endorsed her opponent and called her “an absolutely terrible candidate.”

The steaming pile of human shit Trump isn’t an aberration, he is representative of the typical servile Republican politician who will do anything to win an election.

Outrage: Students Forced to Attend Religious Revival at a Public School

“Students at a West Virginia high school staged a walkout Wednesday morning after some students were reportedly forced to go to a religious revival event at school.

The walkout came after the event, which was organized and led by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, invited Nik Walker Ministries to speak. A district spokesperson said the event was meant to be voluntary, but two teachers “made a mistake and took the entire class to the assembly.”

The spokesperson said the teachers have been ‘corrected,’ and the district doesn’t expect it to happen again.”

Evangelical Christianity has thoroughly corrupted the political process, evangelical Republican congressional leaders are the leading insurrectionists and they pose an existential threat to our democracy.

We must now allow evangelicals to make any inroads into our public schools, and it’s an affront to the sacred principle of separation of church and state that students were forced to attend a religious revival at school.

The religious event was held during a free-time period, how sad that during a free time when students should be relaxing and unwinding, they were instead indoctrinated to a hateful religion.

According to the Associated Press the students were asked to “give their lives over to Jesus to find purpose and salvation.” Those who did not follow the Bible would go to hell when they died, they were told.

The teachers who “made a mistake and took the entire class to the religious revival” and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes should be sued.

I applaud the students who staged a walkout, their courage should embolden us to fight back against evangelicals wherever we encounter them, whether it’s in the educational or political realms.

Pastor Alph Lukau is relatively unknown in the American evangelical community, but the South African pastor and televangelist has millions of followers in Africa and Europe.

Over a million of his followers in Africa and Europe have joined his fast, this may prove his popularity but this publicity stunt has no religious or theological significance.

I would argue that a million souls participating in circle jerks would have a more positive impact on the world. After participating in a circle jerk a person is energized and refreshed and ready to save the world, while after a month-long fast a person is too depleted and weak to do anything more strenuous that lifting a spoon of soup to his mouth.

A 40-day fast is a physically and spiritually dubious endeavor, and it’s the epitome of self-indulgence. South Africa is a cesspool of poverty, crime and disease, a self-aware third-world Christian leader would undertake a 40-day campaign to feed, clothe and shelter the poor instead of a ridiculous and pointless fast.

When I See Joe Biden Wearing a Mask on Empty White House Lawn or Deserted Beach I Feel Like Ripping It Off His Face

I applaud President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden for setting a good example for the American public, by masking up, getting vaccinated and boosted, and practicing social distancing.

It’s quite a contrast from the previous administration, in which former president Donald Trump never donned a mask and the White House was a corona hot spot.

The Bidens are modeling good behavior by wearing a mask, but putting on a mask as they crossed the White House lawn after disembarking from Marine One is modeling idiotic behavior.

To put on a mask under these circumstances, especially considering that the lawn was deserted except for a handful of Secret Service agents, is signal is virtue signaling at best and a sign of dementia at worst.

This insane episode comes just a couple of months after the Bidens were pictured wearing face coverings on a deserted Delaware beach while walking their new puppy. I’m surprised they didn’t put a mask on the puppy.

Enough with the bullshit! The CDC updated its guidance in December to say that Americans who are fully vaccinated can safely go maskless indoors or outdoors, with the exception of crowded indoor settings.

The Bidens should follow the damn science! I am fully vaccinated and boosted, practice social distancing and wear a mask when appropriated, but when I see Biden wearing a mask when walking on the White House lawn or a deserted beach, I fell like ripping it off from his face.

Outrage: Meteorologist Mom Brings Damn Baby on Air During Weather Segment

“Last week, meteorologist Rebecca Schuld gave viewers in Milwaukee an adorable surprise when her 13-week-old baby Fiona made a special appearance during the weather forecast.

‘She’s prepared. She’s got one of her good thick blankies here for that cold weather that’s coming up tonight,’ Schuld said during the forecast, which was streamed live from her home basement due to COVID protocols.”

Rebecca Schuld’s publicity stunt wasn’t adorable it was an inexcusable breach of protocol, and she should have been summarily fired by the station’s management.

It didn’t quite reach the level of CNN chief legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin masturbating while on a Zoom call with colleagues from the New Yorker, but showing off your damn baby while on the clock and in front of thousands of viewers is almost as indulgent as pleasuring yourself in public view.

At this time of the year, I watch the local weather forecast to find out if it’s going to rain or snow, and I will tolerate no interlopers, not even a damn 13-week-old infant.

Schuld is a symbol of the sickness of over-sharing that permeates social media. I don’t want to see Schuld’s cat, brat or tats, I just want to see her reading the weather forecast.

White Evangelicals Are Listening to Trump Over the Bible

Thomas Jefferson made his own version of the Bible that removed all of its miracles, but evangelicals take pride in believing all of the miracles of the Bible.

Evangelicals believe that the Bible is the inerrant and infallible Word of God. That means that by faith (suspension of disbelief) they accept as Gospel all of these Biblical miracles that defy physics and common sense:

A donkey chastises the prophet Balaam for whipping him. I wish the Almighty would grant all of his creatures the ability to speak, the way we mistreat animals is an abomination.

Moses made a snake out of bronze and attached it to a pole. Then anyone who was bitten by a snake could look at the bronze snake and be healed!

After Jesus’ resurrection many men and women were raised from the dead. That’s an excellent premise for a horror zombie flick that would scare the Bejesus out of believers and unbelievers alike.

The Earth stopped spinning for a day so that the ancient Israelites could do what they did best, engage in genocide.

The default theological mode of evangelicals is: The Bible says it, I believe it, and that settles it.

But today’s white evangelicals put more stock in the words and wisdom of Donald Trump and the platform of the Republican Party than they do in the teachings of the Bible.

They eschew the teaching of Jesus Christ to “turn the other cheek” and instead adopt Trump’s example of getting even with your enemies by any means possible.

Because they believe in the supernatural miracles of the Bible, they’re conditioned to believe in QAnon conspiracy theories: there’s a cabal of Satan-worshipping pedophiles who secretly control the government, the covid-19 vaccination is the sign of the Antichrist, Trump won the 2020 presidential election in a landslide …

Summary: Evangelicals are a sorry lot who don’t use their brains or their hearts to correctly interpret the Bible, so it should come as no surprise that they fell for the vain babbling of a 3rd rate con man who miraculously became president of the United States.

Joe Manchin: ‘Build Back Better is Dead’ He’s Dead Right!

“Key swing vote Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia offered a grim pronouncement on the status of President Joe Biden’s remaining domestic agenda, saying on Tuesday that the Build Back Better act is ‘dead.’”

Joe Manchin, eschewing the nuance and diplomacy of a seasoned politician, declared Joe Biden’s Build Back Better legislation dead, and indeed even Jesus Christ himself can’t resurrect the huge bill.

Joe Biden simply doesn’t have FDR’s gravitas to ram through his New Deal type legislation through Congress, nor does he possess LBJ’s intimidation factor to cajole Democrats to pass his signature bill.

Joe Biden and progressive Democrats risked everything in the belief that at the end they could persuade Joe Manchin and Krysten Sinema to vote in favor of Build Back Better and the voting rights bills.

Manchin and Sinema have proven time after time again, that they will stand their ground. Biden should have understood that these two implacable moderate senators are an integral part of the Democratic Party, and he shouldn’t have promised his base more than he could deliver.

The end result is that both progressive and moderate Democrats are disillusioned and dismayed at Biden’s ineptitude.

Biden’s failure to move his domestic agenda will result in a shellacking of Biblical proportions in the mid term election.
