Biden Wears a Mask Again for the First Time in Months

On May 11, 2023 President Joe Biden officially rescinded the executive order that declared COVID-19 a public health emergency. COVID is no longer a pandemic, it’s endemic like the common cold and influenza.

Mandatory masking, lockdowns, emergency field hospitals, respirators and the daily updates of deaths is in our rear-view mirror.

Like the flu and the common cold there will be seasonal surges of COVID, but that is no cause for panic. The prevailing variant is no more lethal than the flu, and there shouldn’t be any talk of mandatory masking, school closures or lockdowns.

Biden turned up in a mask for the first time in months inside the White House, a day after his wife tested positive for COVID-19. But he quickly ditched it during a ceremony honoring an 81-year-old Vietnam veteran, and the two unmasked octogenarians shared a hearty handshake.

The fact that Biden was maskless when he reached around the vet’s body to place the medal around his neck, is proof that he donned the mask just for show.

There was no need for Biden to wear a mask while walking around the White House. Although I would recommend that the serial sniffer wear a mask at all times, maybe that will discourage him from sniffing the hair of any woman cursed to be in his close proximity.

Biden should wear a white mask, he looks like a walking skeleton, and the black mask enhances his ghoulish appearance.

We don’t need any reminders of the hellish pandemic, Biden should shove his mask up his ass, at least that will help the incontinent octogenarian from staining his pants.

Shame on Joe Biden for Wearing a Mask to a Sparsely Attended Outdoor Event

“After walking to the podium in the black face covering, Biden took it off and said, ‘Starting today, if you’re fully vaccinated and you’re outdoors, you need — and not in a big crowd — you no longer need to wear a mask.’

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) unveiled updated guidelines on Tuesday detailing activities that vaccinated people can safely resume, including attending small outdoor gatherings without the need to wear a mask.”

Moments after the CDC announced the updated guidelines relaxing rules for wearing masks for fully vaccinated people, President Joe Biden wore a face mask to a sparsely attended, outdoor press event at the White House, although he removed the mask when he reached the podium.

The president’s photo-op was designed to trumpet the eased mask restrictions for people, such as himself, who are fully vaccinated.

The small gathering on the North Lawn was precisely the type of event where, according to the CDC, vaccinated people no longer need to wear a mask.

Talk about sending conflicting signals, the modeler-in-chief should have removed his damn mask before exiting the White House. By wearing the mask just for show, Biden undermined the guidance of the CDC and made a mockery of common sense.

For over a year I have practiced social distancing, avoided crowds and donned a mask whenever I entered a public building, but now that I’m fully vaccinated, I don’t wear a mask outdoors, and I wear one when I enter a public building only because it’s mandated in the state of Virginia, where I live.

About a third of adults in America are fully vaccinated and all the trends are pointing in the right direction, and we should no longer pretend like we are in the midst of a raging pandemic.

We need to incentivize the vaccine hesitant to get vaccinated by pointing out all the benefits of being vaccinated, and Biden’s theatrics of wearing a mask to a sparsely attended outdoor event isn’t helping one damn bit.

Trump’s Refusal to Wear a Mask Will Result in Death of His Campaign

During his entire tenure, Trump has suffered many self-inflicted wounds, but his mistakes and irresponsible actions during the coronavirus pandemic and the racial unrest following the murder of George Floyd have assured that he will be a one-term president.

Trump’s chaotic response to the COVID-19 pandemic is best illustrated by his self-defeating resistance to donning a mask. His stubborn stance, mimicked by his base undercuts efforts by public health officials to flatten the curve.

Not wearing a mask has become a sign of allegiance to the science-denying commander-in-chief, and his sycophants look askance at anyone wearing a mask in public. If Trump’s followers were as eager to put on a mask as they are to wear a MAGA hat we would make progress against the spread of the coronavirus.

By not wearing a mask Trump is playing with fire, he’s setting a bad example that will result in non-compliance by his supporters, and the spread of the virus that will in turn impede efforts to revive the economy.

But Trump’s greatest gamble is that his penchant for not wearing a mask will result in him being infected with the coronavirus. A morbidly obese septuagenarian with a history of heart disease is at great risk of dying from the virus. Even if he catches the coronavirus and survives it will be a death blow to his reelection chances. The optics of the stable genius smitten by the coronavirus would be a metaphor of how he has completely screwed up his response to the pandemic.
