Pat Robertson Lashes Out at Killer Cops: Kim Potter and Derek Chauvin

“Ultra-conservative evangelical leader Pat Robertson delivered a surprisingly searing rant about the recent onslaught of police violence, blasting former officers Kim Potter and Derek Chauvin while saying cops have ‘got to stop this stuff.’

During his 700 Club broadcast on Thursday, Robertson and co-host Terry Meeuwsen discussed the shooting death of Daunte Wright, noting that Potter—who has been charged with manslaughter—has claimed that she confused her pistol and Taser when she shot and killed Wright during a traffic stop.

Using plastic models of the two weapons, Robertson and Meeuwsen demonstrated the difference in size and weight between the sidearm and Taser, prompting Robertson to say there’s ‘no comparison’ between the two.”

Evangelical firebrand Pat Robertson and I agree as often as Ivanka Trump and a Trump Tower housekeeper enjoy sushi and sake at the Kurumazushi restaurant in New York City.

But I’m glad that Robertson experienced an epiphany and delivered a Holy Ghost inspired prophetic message about the systemic police violence against people of color. He blasted former police officers Kim Potter and Derek Chauvin with both barrels — for once fulfilling his responsibility as a man of God and speaking truth to power.

Robertson’s audience gets almost all of their news from conservative outlets like Fox News and Newsmax where cops are venerated as public servants, who can do no wrong. Therefore, I applaud Robertson for opening the eyes of his followers to the reality where for decades, indeed centuries, police officers have been culling blacks and other minorities.

If you believe that 26-year veteran police officer Kim Potter mistook a Glock for a Taser, I have a seaside property in Kentucky to sell you. Kim Potter murdered Daunte Wright in cold blood, unfortunately intent is very difficult to prove and consequently she was charged with second-degree manslaughter instead of first-degree murder.

If Chauvin and Potter are convicted, I will join Robertson in shouting: Halleluiah.

Rochester Cops Kill Black Man by Putting Hood on Him and Asphyxiating Him

“A disturbing new video shows Rochester police laughing at a naked and cuffed black man with a mesh bag over his head — before shoving his face into the ground until he stops breathing.

The 41-year-old Daniel Prude was left brain dead and died a week later, reports say.

The medical examiner ruled his death a homicide, caused by ‘complications of asphyxia in the setting of physical restraint, excited delirium [and] acute phencyclidine [PCP] intoxication,’ according to RochesterFirst.com.”

The most disturbing and terrifying horror flicks aren’t produced by Hollywood, but by police body cams and civilians capturing the murderous behavior of police officers.

You can now add #DanielPrude to the endless hashtags of black men killed by cops for the crime of being black.

The police weren’t summoned because Prude was engaging in criminal behavior, his brother called 911 because he was having a mental health episode.

Prude was running in the streets buck naked, obviously the cops knew he wasn’t hiding a weapon and didn’t pose a serious threat to them.

When Prude spit at them, one of the cops put a white hood over his head to protect them from being spit on. Is anyone surprised that the racist cops had a white hood in their cruiser?

The heartless cops shoved his face into the ground until he stopped breathing. The cops’ bodycams didn’t capture them expressing any concern for Prude, to the contrary the audio captured them laughing at his distress.

The autopsy report ruled Prude’s death a homicide, caused by complications of asphyxia in the setting of a physical restraint.” The report further sites excited delirium and acute intoxication by the drug PCP as contributing factors.  

In other words, just another cold-blooded execution of a black citizen by police officers who are supposed to serve and protect us, all of us. When will this insanity end?

Outrage: Jacob Blake Handcuffed to his Hospital Bed

“The father of Jacob Blake, the 29-year-old Black man shot seven times by a Kenosha, Wis., police officer, told the Chicago Sun-Times that his son is handcuffed to his hospital bed.

‘I hate it that he was laying in that bed with the handcuff onto the bed,’ Blake’s father said Thursday, the day after he visited his son in the hospital. ‘He can’t go anywhere. Why do you have him cuffed to the bed?’”

The arrest of black men often goes sideways because law enforcement officials don’t see them as citizens who are innocent until proven guilty but as wild animals who need to be subdued by any means necessary.

In August 23, 2020 Jacob Blake, a 29-year-old African American was shot by police in the back seven times at point blank range as he was attempting to get into his car. The cops didn’t consider other less lethal means of subduing him, nor did they seem to care that his three children between the ages of three and eight were in the back seat. They didn’t perceive Blake as a human being, let alone as a father, only as a thug who needed to be put down. Does a trophy hunter care that lion cubs are frolicking with their father when he kills the lion?

The incident occurred in Kenosha, Wisconsin, but it could have occurred in any city, for we have seen the murder of black men by police take place in Ferguson, Minneapolis, New York City, Oakland, and just about every town and city in our country.

Blake is paralyzed in critical condition fighting for his life in a hospital, and his dehumanization continues, evidenced by the fact that he is handcuffed to his hospital bed.

After visiting his son in the hospital, Blake’s father said: He can’t go anywhere. Why do you have him cuffed to the bed? A rhetorical question, as every black man in America knows that the criminal justice system doesn’t miss any opportunity to humiliate and dehumanize black men.

“Why is Blake cuffed to his bed”, is only one of dozens of questions that this horrible incident brings to mind? Why did the cop shoot a black suspect seven times in the back? Why do these executions of black suspects occur with horrible regularity? Why do almost all of these killer cops escape justice with only a slap on the wrist? Why hasn’t the government taken concrete steps to stop this epidemic of executions of people of color?

Why? Why? Dear God, Why?

USMNT Player Michael Bradley Rips Donald Trump

Soccer may be the most popular sport in the world, but it’s hardly America’s pastime and political statements by soccer stars don’t usually receive widespread attention.

But Michael Bradley made some astute comments about Trump and the racial unrest that is wracking our country that deserves attention and analysis.

Bradley said that if America wants to solve the issues of racially inequality and social injustice “then Trump can’t be president, it’s as simple as that.”

Hundreds of thousands of Americans from all walks of life and diverse ethnic backgrounds have been protesting the cold-blooded murder of an unarmed black man, George Floyd, and the police brutality and racial profiling that his murder represents.

This is an inflection point that will lead to society and government finally taking concrete steps to address the decades old problem of racism in the police ranks specifically, and in our society as a whole. At least that’s what many pundits and politicians have been telling us.

But they are dead wrong and Bradley is spot on, the intractable problems of racial inequality and social injustice won’t be solved with the racist-in-chief who has never met a white supremacist that he doesn’t consider a good person is still in office.

Not only must Trump be thrown out of office, but it’s also imperative that Democrats regain control of the Senate. Again, Bradley is spot on, Republican senators have been totally complicit in Trump’s racist agenda.

We will have many more unarmed black men murdered by killer cops if we don’t defeat Trump and Trumpism in the polls this November.
