“Andrew Falloon`s father was fresh out of an operation when he was visited by a surprise guest. After his wife went out, leaving the door slightly ajar, Mr. Falloon was found sound asleep with a cat resting on him. Mr. Falloon does not own a cat.”

Fallon doesn`t own a cat, and the hospital doesn`t have any therapy cats on staff, it`s a mystery where the unusual visitor came from.
Some think the angelic visitor was dispatched by the Almighty to minister to the sick man recuperating from an operation. I think not. The kitty choose the sleeping patient to sleep on for the same reason that your pet sleeps on your laptop, radiator and your belly: felines love to sleep on anything that`s warm.
If Falloon had died from his operation, there`s little chance that the furball would have been found sleeping on the frigid corpse.
I must confess that the image of the sleeping beauty is adorable and I can understand why it`s been viewed online over 16 million times, but it`s not proof of a cat`s sympathetic nature.
When my cats hop on my bed at night, I`m grateful that their soothing purring and physical warmth will soon lull me to sleep, but I don`t fool myself into thinking that they sleep with me because they love me so much.
